2 make your nest Sweet goes tweet inside our terrarium-style candleholder, and it s all to do with this delicate bird s nest. Lined with scrap fabric and torn book pages, it s the perfect perch for a trio of handmade polymer clay eggs. moss thought Our carefully feathered nest (above) was part of a two-pack, so we used the spare to display a candle it s the perfect size for a votive. The nest is wrapped in soft sheet moss, and it rests on a bed of river stones. Important: Don t risk an open flame for this project. Instead use a LED candle, available in the Home Accents Department. natural selection Stack hurricane vases to create this whimsical treetop design. First arrange rocks, moss, twig and nest on a round plaque, available in the Craft Department you ll need to stain or paint the bare wood piece to coordinate with your design. Then place the first vase over your handiwork, using silicone glue to adhere the rim of the vase to the wood. Now glue on the second vase, as shown. 2 Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations

3 bring the burlap You can count on burlap to complement any nature-inspired decor its secret is in its rugged texture and earthy color and that s why we used it to add character to a simple rectangular vase. Here s how to make the chic, monogrammed sleeve: 1. Protect your work area with craft paper. 2. Cut a wide strip of burlap. Measure your glass container to determine the length. 3. Fold back the edges of the fabric, and iron to crease. Stencil on the monogram of your choice we made our own using a home die-cut machine. Use double-sided tape to hold the stencil to your fabric as you apply stencil cream with a foam brush. 4. Stitch the sleeve together at the back, and then slide it onto the vase. Then fill the vase with moss and an LED candle you may wish to secure the moss to the bottom of the vase with hot glue. Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations 3

4 We have Mother Nature under glass, and she s absolutely ENCHANTING. in the wings For a look that goes beyond basic cut flowers, try layering our glass containers with a pretty mix of natural elements for a terrarium-like display. 5 taking flight Stage a pretty flight of fancy in a set of cylindrical vases. Start with sand about an inch deep for the look shown here and then add river stones. 6 wire wrap You won t need flowers this striking vase can speak for itself. We wrapped the piece with copper jewelry wire. Then we added more wire (twisted, twined, beaded and spiraled) and a trio of feather charms to create the gallery-style design. 7 Fan the flames of fabulous with glassware designed by you. For a look that has sparkle without going over the top try sleek and glittered Chevron stripes in sophisticated colors. 8 by a stripe Apply the double-sided adhesive of your choice to the glass to create the stripes, working slowly and carefully for precise lines. Then working one stripe at a time, remove liner from adhesive and sprinkle on glitter. When you re finished, use a small paintbrush to dust off the excess. 8 Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations

9 letter press Clear glass can have a formal feel, but at home, you re more about dressing things down. Create laid-back but absolutely classic style with a wide grosgrain ribbon and a simple resin monogram. Tip: Add one-of-a-kind touches to personalize your look. 10 candy handy Oh, you sure know how to pick em! That s why you ll love this simple glass vase turned adorable, strawberry-shaped candy jar. It s a fresh and unexpected way to use our vast selection of glass floral containers, and it s a piece of cake to create. very berry The container (it s called a serenity vase) doesn t come with a lid, so we made our own from a round plaque and a wooden spindle both bare wood items are available in the Craft Department. We cut the spindle on an angle to look like a stem, and then we glued it into place.
