Die-cut parts offer major advantages when coordinated with the automation process. They can be directly integrated into the production chain and processed immediately. The adhesive tapes can be converted into die-cut adhesive frames or sealing cords. Glass panel connections for monitors, touch screens and mobile phones are made from punched die-cut frames using 3M VHB Acrylic Foam, Coroplast SPT, Tesa ACX or Avery AFB high-performance adhesive tapes. These die-cut parts provide waterproof, solvent-resistant and reliable bonding. We manufacture according to your specifications or advise you on defining the best solution. From single labels to high-volume production runs, we can produce your labels using conventional printing methods such as letterpress, screen printing, flexoprinting, thermal transfer printing, offset or digital printing. We offer a wide range of materials, from simple paper labels to scratch- and solvent-resistant high performance films with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA). Labels can also be manufactured with static or dynamic barcodes and safety features such as tamper protection. We process UL-certified materials, subject to your approval. Die-cut parts are delivered according to your requirements on rolls, strips or sheets. Kiss-cut and die-cut labels can be equipped with a pull-off aid or a rear slit for easy processing. Safety foils cannot be removed without a trace. Any attempt to tamper with the label will destroy it or leave behind letters or symbols on the protected material. The barcodes printed on these foils are easily readable from long distances. A protective laminate ensures that the labels last for a very long time. Barcodes and 2D barcode labels We manufacture barcode labels to identify goods and capital assets. Due to the large amount of information the barcodes contain, our labels are also suitable for monitoring maintenance intervals or insurance purposes. We produce your barcode labels with individual texts, logos, in customized sizes and shapes, and materials corresponding to your specific requirements. Linear barcodes, e.g. Code 39 or Code 128 specification, can be used, as well as 2D systems such as QR codes or the GS1 DataMatrix. Solvent-resistant labels Labels for explosion hazard areas These labels have neither a protective finish nor a laminate and can thus be printed by you. A special combination of labeling material and ink ribbon for thermal transfer printing means we can provide you solvent-resistant labels for a variety of difficult surfaces and use in environments where there is a risk of explosion. Domed labels are manufactured with customized adhesive power. Labels attached to relabeling foil can easily be removed and replaced without residue, even after a long time. Containers can thus be labeled over and over again, without scraping off the old labels. Re-labeling works in virtually no time at all, and flawed readings are avoided. You can keep your previous labels and use them on colored or transparent relabeling foil. Serial numbers, company or warehouse locations or logos can be included on Relabeling foil. For example, we assemble modules or prepare bulk mailings. Cutting We cut materials that you purchase from SMS Converting or provide, using cut-off and rewinding techniques. We make individual pieces according to your precise specifications. This includes roll cutting from widths of 2 mm to 1,500 mm with the desired length and sheet sizes. We offer single-unit, small-scale and large-scale production runs: your products are manufactured quickly in accordance with your requirements. Laminating We laminate materials with thicknesses of 0.05 to 20 mm, using roll to roll, sheet to sheet and roll to sheet techniques and emlpoying single-sided and double-sided adhesive materials. All films and foils up to a width of 1,300 mm can be processed. Typical applications are the finishing of rolls or plates with adhesives, protective lamination for posters, prints and images, film and foil or paper laminations, covering with application tape and protective films, as well as the finishing of film and print products. Die cutting Using platens, cylinders or eccentric presses, flat-bed or rotary methods, SMS Converting die cuts roll to roll up to a size of 700 x 500 mm and sheets up to a size of 1,000 x 600 mm using digital or laser cutting. Foams, rubber and other materials with a thickness up to 20 mm can processed. Adhesive tape application and lamination We apply permanent or detachable double-sided selfadhesive tapes.
