Plastic may start to yellow over time when exposed to sunlight. BANNERS We use solvent-based inks on 13 oz. white vinyl that will last three years outdoors without lamination. CAST VINYL This durable vinyl is available in clear, white or yellow and is used on decals. Designed for indoor and outdoor use. Life expectancy is 5 years. POLYESTER Available in Clear, Bright Chrome, Bright Gold, Matte Silver and Brushed Silver. Polyester is very durable and will not shrink or stretch. This material is stiffer than our vinyl and performs best when applied to flat surfaces. Polyester can be used indoors or outdoors and features permanent adhesive. PRE-MASKING Pre-masking is the process of applying a layer of tape over the entire face of a decal in order to make it more stable. Telephone orders must be confirmed in writing or by purchase order. Please include the following information with all orders: Company name, address and telephone number. Product number (Example No. 510 Silhouette, quantity, size, stock material, stock color, number of colors for printing and color names.) Indicate whether the job is 4-color process or spot color (please include color name or PMS numbers for spot colors). A proof of the artwork for reference. If the job is more than one color, proof must be provided in color or have colors broken out. Orders less than $50.00 net will incur an $10.00 (G) invoicing charge. Orders and tooling are retained on file for five years. Please use a file compression program on all materials to be sent via to avoid corruption of files. We will send a confirmation of your order. If you do not receive a confirmation, please resend the order. A pdf file is adequate proof on jobs sent via . ART PROOF BEFORE PRODUCTION If a proof is requested, we can furnish a laser proof of the art for design approval before production. This may delay production. No charge for the first proof if the art is approved and merchandise is produced and shipped. Revisions of the first proof, provided we followed your specifications, will require a $45.00 (D) charge. Each additional change requested will require a $28.50 (D) charge. If a proof is not returned within 30 days, all charges incurred will be invoiced. 31 Artwork Specifications Guide ART As a convenience to customers, our catalog prices include simple art preparation. Please supply digital artwork whenever possible (pdf is preferred). All supporting files and fonts used in creating the artwork must be included. A clean black and white print is acceptable for one color jobs only. NOTE: Cutouts from brochures, magazines, business cards, faxes or copies are NOT considered acceptable art. ACCEPTED PROGRAMS Corel Draw (up to version X7) Adobe Illustrator (up to version CC) Gerber Edge / Omega (version 3.0) Adobe InDesign (version CC) Adobe Photoshop (up to version CC) Any other graphics program that can save to or export files as a.ai,.eps or.tif format (i.e. Macromedia Freehand, if file is saved or exported as an.eps file.) When submitting Photoshop files, do not flatten the image. We are unable to make changes to the file once it has been rendered. Submitted files should have a resolution of no lower than 300 dpi. NEVER USE A PERIOD (.) as any part of the file name if you are using a Macintosh. This creates an artificial file extension that prevents our file conversion program from working properly. Also, do not add file extensions; our file conversion program does that automatically. FONT INFORMATION If possible, convert all Text to Paths (or Curves). This means that the text is an object and can no longer be edited as text. This prevents font substitutions, which occur when a font is used that is not on our system. If this is not possible, send copies of all screen and printer fonts used in the file. Fonts used in placed graphics must also be converted or sent with files. TYPES OF FILES TO SEND Using the proper file type is essential Picks are the areas that must be removed after the decal is cut.
