Wee Beginners (0-18 months): Footprint Robin Wee Explorers (18 months-3 years): Paper Plate Lamb Wee Builders (3-4 years): Paper Bag Butterfly Wee Learners (4-5 years): Handprint Cherry Blossom Tree Wee Experts (5-6 years): Flowers Wee Mentors (6+ years): 3D Rainy Day Card
2 Wee Beginner (0 18 months) Footprint Robin What You Need: White Paper Paint Brushes Paper Plate Brown Paint Red Paint Orange Marker Black Marker What You Do: 1. Paint the bottom of the child s foot brown and at the arch paint it red. 2. Place the child s foot on the white paper to make a print, 3. Allow to dry and draw in the eyes, beak and feet.
3 Wee Explorer (18 months 3 years) Paper Plate Lamb What You Need: Paper Plate Black Construction Paper White Paper Black Marker Scissors Glue Cotton wool balls What You Do: 1. Glue cotton balls all over the paper plate using 2. Put glue onto the back of the paper circle and stick this into the centre of the cotton ball covered paper plate. 3. Glue the top of the paper rectangles and stick onto the back of the plate. 4. Cut out 2 small white circles and draw black circles in the middle for eyes. 5. Glue them onto the black circle.
4 Wee Builder (3 4 years): Paper Bag Butterfly White paper lunch bag Acrylic paint (colour of your choice) Two 6-inch heart doilies Do-A-Dot Art Markers Paint brush Pipe cleaner (cut in half) Black marker Large googly eyes Tape Glue What to do: 1. Start by painting your paper bag. Let it dry completely. 2. While your bag dries, use your Do-A-Dot markers to decorate your heart doilies. 3. Fold over the end of your heart doily about an inch and glue it down to make a straight edge. Glue the doilies to the front of the inside flaps on the sides of the paper bag. 4. Glue googly eyes onto your butterfly and draw a smile with your black marker. 5. Curl the pipe cleaner halves around your finger and then tape them to the back of your paper bag to make antennae.
5 Wee Learner (4-5 years): Handprint Cherry Blossom Tree Light blue cardstock paper(12" x 12") Brown cardstock paper Coffee filter 2 tones of pink acrylic paint Foam brush Dark and light pink tissue papersquares Pencil Scissors Glue What You Do: 1. Start by using your two different tones of pink paint and paint your coffee filter. Let it dry completely. 2. Trace your child's hand and part of their arm on your brown cardstock paper and have them cut it out. 3. Glue your painted coffee filter and handprint onto your blue cardstock paper. 4. Crinkle your light and dark pink tissue paper squares and glue them onto your tree, around the finger branches and some around the coffee filter.
6 Wee Expert (5-6 years): Spring Flowers Your choice of construction paper for the flower Green construction paper for the leaves Glue Scissors Tongue depressors or jumbo craft sticks Pom Poms What to do: 1. Fold your choice of coloured construction paper in half and trace out 4 half a heart shape along the folded edge. 2. Have the child cut out all 4 hearts. 3. Fold the green construction paper in half and trace out 2 smaller half a heart shape along the fold. 4. Have the child cut out the 2 hearts. 5. Have the child glue down the 4 heart shapes to resemble a flower on top of the craft stick. 6. Have the child glue the 2 green hearts below the flower. 7. Have the child glue a pom pom in the middle of the flower.
7 Wee Mentor (6+ years): 3D Rainy Day Card Purple, yellow, tan paper Scissors Glue/tape Google eyes Markers Watercolours What to do: 1. Start by cutting a rectangle out of coloured paper. Fold it back and forth until you get to the end. 2. Pinch it together and then fold it in half. Tape the middle parts together and glue the middle bottom part. 3. Lay it flat against a folded paper card and glue it down. 4. Draw an umbrella handle with a black marker. 5. Cut out a triangle for the little girl s dress, a round face, and some rain boots. 6. Grab some markers and add a smile, arms, freckles, and eyelashes! Get out some blue watercolors and have the kids get lots of water vs color on their brushes to make puddles and rain drops.
