These value-adding processes create thousands of jobs for locals and generate gross domestic product (GDP) for the Canadian economy. - The economic contribution of film does not stop with the economic and tax revenue The sector s economic contribution also manifests itself over time through industry development, and through spillover effects captured by the construction and tourism sectors.
