Maintaining sonic resonance in different ground conditions, depths and diameters is very challenging. Without highly trained and experienced drillers operating the right equipment, resonance is difficult to achieve and maintain. Lost resonance results in decreased production rates, the inability to penetrate moderate ground conditions, reduced depth and diameter capabilities, and compromised sample quality. Boart Longyear s TRUSONIC system achieves the best production rates in the industry and obtains the highest quality of samples from the widest range of sub-surface conditions, to depths of over 700 feet. This is achieved by transferring all of the sonic energy from the drill head to the face of the bit. We put each driller through our university-accredited course: Sonic University and ensure that they work and are experienced in every formation imaginable. 7 SAMPLE QUALITY TRUSONIC drilling offers the best subsurface samples in the market and is capable of drilling through large boulders in unconsolidated deposits. Reliable bedrock confirmation samples are retrieved without the need for tooling changes.
