It is conveniently situated with excellent transport links, including the subway No. 1 and light rail station. It is the largest International Conference Center in Puxi, Shanghai. 8 Oral Presentation Guidelines Professionals in the field of radar from around the world will attend the 2006 CIE International Conference on Radar. Many of our attendees will experience some difficulty in following the oral presentations. We hope for a lively and interesting presentation, yet ask that you present your material in a slow and clear voice. You should bear in mind that a reading speed of 150 words per minute is the maximum number usable for the text to remain comprehensible. The presentation should last between 10 minutes in order to leave sufficient time for questions and remarks. The total time allocated for each presentation is less than 15 minutes. You can use your file of PPT format (Microsoft PowerPoint software) on a LCD data project. The use of viewgraphs is much preferred. Your graphics should feature simple annotations in large letters so as to be easily read by your audience. All lines, curves, table frames, etc. must be sufficiently thick in outline to ensure they are legible. Try preferably to use a system colors, such as purple blue green and red to improve the transparencies. Transparencies copied directed from documents are not generally conform with the above instructions and are therefore not acceptable for the conference.

9 Poster Presentation Guidelines The conference program includes a total of more than 200 poster presentations over four sessions. You will be expected to attend your display over the course of the session in which you poster paper is scheduled. Most or all poster presentations will be displayed on an upright panel fold, while some may be displayed table top. You should plan to display nominally eight pages (A3) of material (photos, figures, graphs, Text, topic charts, etc.) with additional graphics on hand as necessary to facilitate further discussion with your audience. We urge your attention to large and legible lettering. Each graphic should include a heading proper labeling of plots and graphs, and any other annotations as appropriate to a clear presentation. In order to improve the material it is possible to use a system of colours, such as purple, green, red, yellow, etc..

10 About Tutorials The 2006 CIE international conference on radar in Shanghai has invited 15 famous experts in the radar area to make 15 high qualified tutorial lectures. These tutorials will be arranged into 3 times, at 14:00~16:00, 16:30~18~30 and 20:00~22:00 on October 16 th These 15 lectures and lecturers are shown in the following table. More details about these lecturers and tutorial abstracts can refer to As these tutorials provide a valuable chance for people to communicate, discuss and study, everybody interested in the content of tutorials is encouraged to register for them. You should make selection in the table and pay US$ 50 for each tutorial. There are discount fee provided for one intending to enter for more than one tutorial: $75 for 2 tutorials and $100 for 3 tutorials If there are less than 12 people to participate in a tutorial, this tutorial may be canceled.
