15 Background Establishment of CFATC in Resolute Bay announced by PM August 2007 Initial construction costs estimated at $60M with an Initial Operating Capability (IOC) post 2015 Natural Resources Polar Continental Shelf Program (PCSP) established in Resolute for 50 years supporting Arctic Research CFLAWC conducts yearly Arctic Operations Advisor Course at PCSP on a cost recovery basis PCSP doubled its capacity with ARIF funding in Mar 2011 Co-use of facility and further expansion through DND funding could provide FOC by Summer 2013 at a DND cost of approx $20 M NRCan and DND have produced a comprehensive cost sharing and facility management arrangement
