Bose Harmonic Cancellation algorithms can target harmonics of multiple rotating devices at the same time, such engine, driveshaft/propeller shaft, or electric motors. Bose Harmonic Enhancement algorithms can increase harmonics of multiple rotating devices at the same time, such as engine, driveshaft/propeller shaft, or electric/hybrid motors. Now, the ability to cancel and enhance sounds has been extended to other noise sources that are periodic in nature. This includes propeller shafts in rearwheel and four-wheel drive vehicles, range extender engines in PHEVs, electric motors, and making continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) sound more natural.
