2 RSVQ Variable Air Volume (VAV) HVAC systems are the best solution to guarantee high levels of comfort and energy effi ciency in civil and industrial applications VAV systems are well suited for the climate control of modern offi ce buildings, with extensive glass facades and variable occupancy levels which cause uneven cooling loads profi les, with relevant values even in the winter season For industrial process applications, such as research laboratories, the use of VAV systems allows to maintain the required differential pressure levels between adjacent rooms together with low energy consumption VAV controllers in fact are able to modulate the outdoor air fl ow depending on the number of operating extraction hoods The main benefi ts of VAV systems are: No terminal units in the occupied zone Very good control of humidity and temperature levels High levels of indoor air quality Good air distribution with high induction diffusers Reduction of duct dimensions High energy effi ciency Extensive use of free-cooling The RSVQ terminal units with rectangular section are used for the electronic control of the air fl ow in the supply and return ducts They are suitable for high air velocities up to 4 m/s Thanks to the actual air fl ow detection system, it is possible to guarantee an accurate control, regardless of the pressure variations inside the duct system, thus making the design easy and reducing the energy consumption The terminal units are available in the insulated and non insulated version The accessories include duct sound attenuators and hot water or electric reheat coils Depending on the kind of application, different control systems are available: stand-alone control for single rooms controllers integration in BMS with communication protocols for large buildings static or dynamic pressure controllers for process applications Rectangular sound attenuators The rectangular sound attenuators can be used both on the air supply and return to reduce the noise levels generated by the fans and transmitted by the air duct system Reheat coils Reheat coils are used to increase the temperature on the air supply in order to satisfy the room sensor demand They are available in the hot water version Solar exposure Office Office Office Office Office Each single room has specifi c comfort requirements which varies in time depending on: orientation occupation activity levels individual occupant requirements Learning center Meeting room Manufacturing area Laboratory Meeting room Manufacturing area Entrance hall Warehouse Utility room
