Prints larger than 20x24 will be charged according to UPS standards. Please visit to view their terms *Orders under $ add $8.50 charge for UPS and $5.50 for Priority Mail. For 1st class mail add $2.75 for orders 13 ounces and under, and add $5.50 for orders over 13 ounces. Orders weighing more than 15 ounces will be dropped off at the Post Office the following day after the due date. *COD shipments require a handling charge of $8.50 in addition to normal shipping charges. *Albums are shipped at UPS cost We realize that calculating the freight charges can be confusing. Many of our competitors build the freight charge into their pricing. We have opted to charge the lowest price we can for our Pick-up customers. With the extra fuel charges that carriers have added in recent years there is a huge discrepancy in what it costs to ship local, or to ship across the country. Any order requesting shipping for a mounted print larger than 24 x30 we will contact you prior to producing your print and give you an estimate of the cost. If all of these are not returned, your order will be returned to you unchanged. Damaged Packages: *If you receive a damaged shipment, please refuse and return by carrier who delivered the order. It is Mastercolor s responsibility to file a claim with the shipping agent. Liability: *The sending of any negatives, prints, film, or digital files to us for processing, or any other purpose will constitute an agreement by you that if any such film, negatives, prints, or digital files are damaged or lost by us or any subsidiary company for any reason whatsoever, they will be replaced with an equivalent amount of unexposed film and processing. Such replacement shall represent the limit of our liability. We do not assume any liability for orders lost in transit to or from us. 5 Copyrights: *We will not copy any photo, slide, negative, or printed material that is copyrighted. *If you secure a copyright release on copyright owners letterhead, we will be glad to make copies. *The customer assumes responsibility for all identifiable and unidentifiable copyright articles. Unclaimed Orders: *Orders left over 90 days will be destroyed. Print Services: *All Print Categories carry a $5.00 minimum order. * All Machine Prints are printed on E- Paper unless Glossy paper is requested. *All prints are printed borderless. Bordered prints are available upon request. *Negatives received with scratches or other forms of mistreatment will not be spotted or retouched unless the customer requests it and receives a quote for this service. *If we are asked to pick the best exposure or poses, our judgment will be final. *35mm negatives do not lend themselves to certain print sizes in regards to cropping. 4x5, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, 20x24, 24x30, and 30x40 will render a crop that does not show the entire file or negative. 4x6, 7x10, 8x12, 12x18, 10x15, 16x24, and 20x30 will show the entire negative. *Odd size prints are billed at standard size cost. Digital Files: *Digital files do not render themselves to most standard photo print sizes. They are very similar to 35mm negative cropping. Our ROES uploading program is a perfect visual display of how your file will be cropped for various sizes. Matching Prints: *We will do our best to match guide prints that accompany your prints. Different emulsion papers will not always allow for matching, but they should be close. *We will not guarantee a match without a guide print. Approval Prints: *Approval prints are available and recommended for volume orders. *Approval prints will be charged if they are not returned or the order is not printed. *Test prints can add to lab schedule if they are not approved in a reasonable amount of time. Remakes: *We will remake prints for you at no charge if we fail to follow your instructions or do not match your guide prints. Rush Orders: *We will do our best to accommodate our customers on Rush orders. Charges can range from 50% to 200% depending on the time frame we have to work in and the complexity of the order. Sometimes it is impossible to offer a Rush, due to the volume of orders already in process. Some large orders will have their Rush computed on time basis. Be sure to check with us in advance to detrmine if Rush is available and what the charges will be for your order. *Production schedule is based on working days of Monday through Friday. *10 AM is the deadline for a given day to be counted as a work day. *Orders are due out between 4:00 and 5:15 on their due dates, unless otherwise noted on receipt. 6 Getting Your Files To Mastercolor Mastercolor is equipped to provide our customers with a variety of digital services. On the following pages you will find Digital Photographs, Giclee Prints on canvas and fine art papers, Scanning, CD writing, and other related services. There are numerous ways for you to send your files to Mastercolor. If you wish to bring your files in, we can accept CD s, digital camera cards, flashdrives and DVD s. We have 2 kiosks in our lobby for viewing your files and entering orders directly from your CD or camera card into our production system. If you wish to send your files via FTP, we have 4 upload options. We request that you use jpeg files to speed uploading on your end and downloading on our side. There are PDF files on our web site with instructions and answers to your questions. You may always feel free to call us if you have any problems uploading through any of the 4 systems. Please visit our web site at for access to our FTP areas, and detailed instructions on how to use our system. 1 This is a very versatile system that allows you to see and change the crop of your images. It contains many features, such as creating composite pages ranging from 5x5 to 30x40, changing from color to black & white or sepia, sports mates, greeting cards, vignettes, strokes, and numerous creative backgrounds to name a few. The system allows you to send your files over the internet or save your order to a CD. Files saved to a CD using Mastercolor s Roes program can only be printed at Mastercolor Labs. 2. General and Volume Uploading This system can be used to upload a single file or large groups of files. It is especially valuable when uploading many files for different sizes and quantities. You will want to have Winzip for PC s and Stuffit for Mac s for your volume orders. With these programs you can place any number of files in a folder named with the size and quantity (Example-2 4x5 s each, 1 5x7 each etc.). You would create a folder for each quantity and print size and place these folders inside a master folder. You would then use Winzip or Stuffit to compress and seal all of the folders in your master folder. Upon receiving your master folder, we will unzip or unstuff the master folder. We will then have all of your sub folders telling us the size and quantity to print from each folder. This saves time uploading files and instructions for each file. There is an area for you to add special instructions such as retouching and finishing services. 3. Imagequix: Imagequix is an Image hosting company out of South Carolina that has developed a easy to use platform for posting your images for resale. There is minimal cost involved, but the professional look and feel of the site will give your customer confidence in their purchase. Both full service and full control options are available. 4.Lifepics: Lifepics works more as a shareware system than is does as a direct ordering service. It is a great way to post images for friends and family to order from, and the service is FREE. This is different from the Imagequix service in that you cannot sell your prints, all prices are those listed in the Mastercolor Price List. You can order your own images from this service, but it takes much longer to upload your images, and gives you less control compared to the options in the ROES software. ** Please specify on your order bag, in your , or in the ROES program whether you would like color corrections on your files. If your computer screen is balanced to our printing process and you do not want color corrections please let us know. Mastercolor will automatically color correct files to our discretion if not otherwise instructed. ** It is best to split up your orders by category. For example, if you have a package order and regular digital machine prints, please send in two orders, one for the packages and one for the machine prints. Please do not mix package orders with regular machine prints from negatives or digital files. This will allow for a quicker turn around. 7 Enhanced Digital Prints Prints can be made from your Camera Cards, CD s, DVD s, or uploads to our FTP Site. Your files have to be saved as a JPEG files. We do not accept Raw files. Please take off any channels and flatten layers on your files if you have been working in Photoshop. The prints are automatically adjusted for color, density and contrast. Please indicate if you wish No Color Corrections to your files. We can also scan your negatives, slides, photographs, artwork etc. and produce photographs. Any color type or logos may be added to your print with better quality than an overlay. Please refer to our scanning charges if that service is needed. This category differs from our Enhanced Digital Prints because with Custom Digital Prints prints from this category can be matched to supplied prints or transparencies. 8 Package Printing From Digital Files This category is designed for sports, proms, schools events, etc. Subject size, lighting, background and composition should be the same for all subjects. There is a minimum order of 10 files of two units each. We will be more than happy to design and quote on any package you may request. Be sure to center your subject, as these packages do not allow for cropping or centering. Please specify which style when ordering. Your files should be saved in RGB and JPEG formats. Please take off any channels and flatten layers on your files if you have been working on them in Photoshop. Each file should be placed in a folder that is labeled with the package style to be printed, or in the package description you have created. These are common packages frequently printed. However, you may create any package of your choice by combining any two or more full units together. Volume discounts are available starting with one hundred or more units per order. Do not mix package orders with other print order categories. 9 Digital Proofing Digital proofing offers lower pricing when orders are placed in bulk. You will receive lower prices when ordering 75 or more of the same size print. This quantity may include multiple copies of the same file or one each of 75 different files. This pricing cannot be used when combining the total number of files of different orders. The 8x10 and 8.5x11 pages can contain 4, 6, 8 or 9 images per page. 10x13 pages can hold 4, 6, 8, 9 or 12 images. Each image will have your file number directly under the image. You may supply us with a custom cover that you have designed for us to keep on file for your books, or your book will come with a cover generic page, at no additional cost. If you would like a custom cover page, we can create one for a charge of $ This could include a photo from your proofs and names or date. 8x10 10x13 Lab Schedule - 1 working day Digital Class and Sports Group Photos We can create a personalized bordered template for any size print at a cost of $ This would include the options of using a logo, team or school name, coach or teacher names, and grade or sport. If the template is to be used for multiple teams or school classes, the names can be changed at a cost of $5.00. Student and team player names for the entire group can also be added for an additional cost of $5.00. Also there are bordered template in ROES with text areas for school, year, etc. for the price of an 8x10. After the template is created, prints will be charged at the 8x10 digital print prices. 11 Giclee Canvas Prints : One popular way to place a canvas print on a stretcher frame, is to Gallery Wrap the print on the frame. This gives you a piece of the art ready to hang without the cost of framing. It also shows the image around the edges at the stretcher frame for a 3D look on the wall. Cropping Instructions For Prints Only: If you want your canvas prints mounted on Masonite or a Styrene board, crop your image to the size board you intend to mount it on. For prints to be stretched on a 5/8 or 1 1/2 stretcher frame: If they are not to be gallery wrapped, crop them to the size of the print you desire. If they are to be gallery wrapped on a 5/8 frames, crop your image 1 1/2 inches larger than the size of the face of the print to allow for the wrapping of the image around the sides of the frame (example: crop as a 17 1/2 x 21 1/2 for a 16x20). For prints to be gallery wrapped on 1 1/2 frames, crop your image 3 larger than the face of your print (example: crop 19 x 23 for a 16 x 20). If you have any questions regarding cropping, please feel free to call us. Be sure not to have any important parts of your image in the corners of gallery wrapped prints, as they could be covered up when the canvas is folded in the corners. All canvas prints prices include a UV protective coating. This coating will protect your print from fingerprints, moisture, and the elements. 12 Gallery Wraps Gallery wraps allow your photograph to actually wrap around the sides of the canvas. These come in two depths: 1.5" and 5/8". NOT TO SCALE 1-1/2 5/8 Personalized Wrap: Sometimes your photo is not cropped to wrap around the sides of the canvas. We have two creative options for that: Color Edges, We have 31 different colors to choose from for both 1.5" and 5/8" edges. Patterned Edges, 11 creative patterns available for both 1.5" and 5/8" edges. 1.5" Gallery Wrap Canvas The 1.5" Gallery Wrap is by far the biggest seller. The 1.5" depth from the wall gives the canvas a feeling of importance and dominance on the wall and does not require a frame. The 1.5" wrap is especially striking for larger prints: 16" x 20" and above but can be used on smaller sizes as well. 5/8 Gallery Wrap Canvas The 5/8 gallery wrap is versatile; it can be custom framed or placed directly on the wall with no framing necessary. The 5/8 gallery wrap works best on sizes smaller than 16 x 20. While the 5/8 gallery wrap is not the most popular gallery wrap size, it is perfect for smaller prints. You can get one or have several photos printed as a grouping. Gallery Wraps Personalized Edge Color Your entire image will be on the front of the canvas and you have 31 designer colors to choose for the sides of your canvas. Banners Mastercolor has added Banners to our line of Inkjet products. There are two types of banners available. Premium Block Banners are the best quality we offer. Theses banners have a second layer on the back that does not allow any backlight to show through to front of banner. Economy Banners are thinner but just as durable. However, they could allow strong backlight to show, making the banner hard to see. If there is no backlighting to worry about or if they are to be hung on a wall, the Economy Banner should be a economical solution for any banner requirements. Your frame will be finished in a paper backing and we will supply the Hardware for you to hang your print.
