2 Although it was a cold day with freezing temperatures, all the sewing students lined up to take their class. And this class was an exciting one! Not only did the girls get to add on to their skirts, but they also had a surprise guest! In one of our recent Jubilee tapes on January 22, 2014, Brother Branham mentions the healing of a boy that was in a car accident. Here sits a little preacher sitting here in front of me, by the name of Blair. His little boy was in an accident the other day, and his wife sitting there, wiping their eyes now from tears. They called me on the telephone down there, and he said, Brother Branham, our little boy was in a car and run over the hill, and he is mashed, concussed his brain, and everything. He is gone, just about; just barely breathing. Said, Will you pray? I said, Let s pray. And started, looked, this on the phone, and started praying. I said, Lord God, what shall I say to them? I seen a little boy going, running and skipping a rope, running down like that. I said, He is going to be well. And here he is tonight. And here they are sitting here. Why? Because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever Looking Unto Jesus Rev. William Branham Fifty years later this boy, Brother Nathan Blair, was our special guest that came to Part 2 of our Skirt Lengthening class to give his testimony. Today him and his wife work for VGR and play a very special part in running our Still Waters Camp. (video of Brother Nathan Blair s testimony) Not only did our girls sew flounces and ruffles, but they sewed in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Talking about the Lord and sewing for His glory, we all had a great time! 2

5 1 Measure length of skirt and cut off hem if needed 2 How long do you want the finished skirt to be? 3 Press fabric 5 Adding a slight slant and a 1/4 seam allowance, draw your desired side seams onto the liner 4 5 Lay the skirt edge overlapping the fold of the liner about 2-3 Draw the bottom of the liner about an 6 inch smaller than the desired finished length

13 1 Measure length of skirt and cut off hem if needed 2 How long do you want the finished skirt to be? Measure around the bottom of the skirt and add 1 inch for the seam allowance 3 4 Press fabric 5 Pin the flounce template with one end on the fold 10 6 Cut until you get the length of around the bottom of the skirt

14 Sew the flounce short ends right sides together using a 1/4 seam allowance Press the bottom serged edge under Serge all raw edges Top stitch the turned under edge Pin the flounce and skirt right sides together, when you get to the ends, pin right sides together and sew 11 Sew using a ¼ seam allowance

17 Measure length of skirt and cut off hem if needed 1 2 How long do you want the finished skirt to be? Measure around the bottom of the skirt and add 1 inch for the seam allowance 3 4 Press fabric Mark and cut the desired width of the add-on by the length of the bottom of the skirt 5 14 Pin right sides together the short sides of the fabric and sew 6

18 Serge all the raw edges 7 9 Pin right sides together the fabric to the skirt 8 Sew using a ¼ seam allowance Pin the ends right sides together and sew Press the seam down and top stitch 10 You re finished! 11 15

19 Kick Slit Fill-In Skirt to be added to Thread Tape Measure Pins Amount of fabric needed for desired length Pencil Fabric Scissor s Ruler 16

20 Press the fabric 1 Measure the length 2 and width of the slit Cut a rectangle 2 Taller than the length of the slit and 4 wider than the slit 3 pen up the slit and cut a triangle 1 wider and taller than the slit opening 4 5 Center the triangle on the rectangle 17 6 Using a ruler, cut the rectangle angled and parallel to the triangle piece, about 1 away

21 7 Press open seams. Cut off any excess at the top and serge. Mark the top center of the piece.
