Cutting Instructions Sewing Instructions Beige fabric: Cut a rectangle X 43 Green print fabric: Cut 4 strips 4-1/ X 41 for borders Green solid fabric: Cut 5 strips -1/4 X WOF for binding Cut 3 strips

2 Cutting Instructions Sewing Instructions Beige fabric: Cut a rectangle X 43 Green print fabric: Cut 4 strips 4-1/ X 41 for borders Green solid fabric: Cut 5 strips -1/4 X WOF for binding Cut 3 strips X 41 for sashing Cut 4 squares 4-1/ X 4-1/ for corners Cut 9 strips X 9-1/ for sashing Wool: Follow instructions on pages -8 for cutting wool Follow instructions on pages -8 to complete the top block. Sew three 9-1/ sashing strips and 4 designer blocks together as shown below. Repeat with remaining designer blocks and 9-1/ sashing strips to make 3 rows total. Sew the top block, 3 designer block rows and the 41 sashing strips together as shown. Sew a border to the top and bottom of the quilt. Sew a corner block to each end of the remaining border strips. Sew these borders to the sides of the quilt. Quilt as desired. Add a double fold green binding. Insert picture of top block Cornerstones

3 Instructions for top garden block (finished size 9 X 40-1/ ) Make sure your design is centered within the finished block size. Cut and attach wool to fabric following instructions on pages 3-8. Transfer lettering below and stems, etc. to fabric. Follow the instructions on pages 3-8 to applique and embroider the block. I recommend using Aurifil wool thread, but one strand of embroidery floss will work also. Words are embroidered with #1 black pearl cotton using a backstitch. After stitching, trim block down to 9-1/ X 41. Cornerstone flower layout Instructions for corner blocks (finished size 4 X 4 each) Applique wool with matching wool thread using a slip stitch. Stem is embroidered with green wool thread using a stem stitch. Make 4 blocks. french knot french knot
