1 May 2009 Merrimack Valley Quilting Guild Celebrating 29 years of encouraging the art of quilting in the Merrimack Valley. MVQ was established in P RESIDENTS MESSAGE Wow! What a fabulous Quilt Show! I always feel so fortunate to be in the company of so many wonderful quilters. Kudos to Bev Condon and Shirley Reed and to all the people who played a part in putting the Show together. I received many positive comments about "... all the beautiful quilts", and "What a nice Show!" I'm always amazed at the transformation of a gym to a place filled with quilts, vendors and people! So much fun! EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE President: Maggie Judd mamju@juno.com Vice-Pres: Pat Lucey Pat.lucey@verizon.net Secretary: Karen Parent kpatthebeach@comcast.net It was also great to have Pat Speth as our speaker last month. I enjoyed her quilts, and now that I have a bunch of 5" squares, I hope to be using her techniques to make some "Nickel Quilts" of my own. Perhaps I'll finish in time for next year's Quilt Show! Hope to see you on the 21st!
