1 Welcome to Week 9! -ll three of this week s blocks can use ussy utting for the larger squares. In our sample block 25, the Print 2 center squares were fussy cut to feature a larger floral element. The 2 1/2 print squares in blocks 26 and 27 can be fussy cut to spotlight the larger design aspects of your fabric. This is especially true in block 27 since the flying geese seem to be pointing to the center square. To audition different areas of your fabric, cut 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 square templates from I.P.P. Sheet Plastic. It s almost transparent and will show you exactly what will be featured. -The half-square triangles in block 26 and flying geese in blocks 25 and 27 (not to mention all the flying geese for the inner border of the finished quilt) are easy! Just draw a diagonal line from one corner to another on the wrong side of your fabric using a rixion pen. The marks quickly iron away! -You can always reverse your fabrics for a completely different look in your blocks. lthough it s in gray scale, you can see how different block 25 would look if the background was switched to a print fabric. xperiment to find what you like! - We ve included the setting instructions so you can purchase your fabric for your outer border and setting squares and triangles. lso included are the instructions for the lying eese Inner order...there are 176! 7 2 Join 28 flying geese blocks & 1 3½" x 1" background rectangle as shown. Make 2. Sew to the top and bottom of the quilt. 3 Join 38 flying geese blocks as shown. Make 2. Sew to the quilt sides. Join 28 flying geese blocks. 3½" x 1" Join 38 flying geese blocks. Quilt is now 49" x 57½" unfinished. Quilt is now 43" x 57½" unfinished. #ModaSamplerShuffle 2

8 4 ssemble the side borders as shown. Note the placement of the prints. Make 2. Sew to the quilt sides. 5 Sew the 6" x 60" borders to the top and bottom.
