2 Level of difficulty: Intermediate This is a straightforward roll-neck pullover in four sizes in reverse stocking stitch, with attractive asymmetrical cables up the centre front and back and sleeves to provide added interest. Either side of the asymmetrical centre on the front and back are worked two simpler cables, one including bobbles and then a simple one, with the waist shaping worked in the side panels outside the cables. The sleeves are set into dropped shoulders and have only the bobble and asymmetrical cables. The neck-line is a large roll-neck or small cowl-neck (!). This is an excellent way to practice interesting cables. The original was worked in Stone, but this pullover will work in all of the natural and dyed shades, even darker colours, as the texture of the cables will show well against the reverse stocking stitch. Pair each 3.75mm (US 5) and 4mm (US 6) needles Cable needle Tension/Gauge 22 sts and 28 rows to 10cm/4 inch square over st st using 4mm (US 6) needles. Care advice: Hand wash in cool water using a liquid wool wash. Spin dry. Do NOT tumble dry. Spread to dry on a towel or drying rack, hand pressing garment to shape and correct size. Garments may be hung to dry on a hanger or over a clothes or ceiling airer once they have been spun, but with a hanger you may get hanger marks at the shoulders and the garment may grow if too damp before hanging; and with bars you should move a little several times to avoid dent marks.
