1 La Cosa PROVISIONAL TECHNICAL RIDER (17/08/2015) CONTACT Claudio Stellato Tel A phone call between the technical directors of the theatre and the company is required to verify the feasability of the performance and to organise the set up of the show. MINIMAL CONDITIONS OF PRESENTATION - 8h of set up (unloading and set up) This does not include the ground-leveling (if needed) and the pre-set of the full-up lighting. The final set-up of the scenery is managed directly by the company. - The venue will provide four technicians for the unloading and the set up of the company's floor (+/- 3h) - One technician for the final set up and the cleaning of the stage half an hour before the beginning of the show - Four technicians for the take down and reloading of the van (+/- 3h), take down begins 30 minutes after the end of the show. PERFORMANCE SPACE (to be prepared by the organiser before the arrival of the company) THE NATURE OF SOME OF THE ACTIONS PERFORMED ON STAGE COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE DAMAGE TO A FLOATING FLOOR. (violent impacts on the floor) IN SUCH SITUATION, IT IS PREFERABLE TO REMOVE IT AND PERFORM DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND. The show can be performed inside aswell as outside. The performance space without the audience aera covers 8m X 8m and 5m minimal hight of the fly bars. The ground of the performance space must imperatively be hard, leveled and regular. If it is not the case (or nearly the case), ground-leveling will have to be done before the arrival of the company : 1

2 - In the case of a leveled ground with small holes (ex : tarmac, concrete, stone...) the ground will have to be leveled by sand. - In the case of a very irregular ground (ex : slope, hollow, holes, curb, gutter...) or a too soft ground (ex : gravel, soil, lawn...) the organiser will have put together a solid and leveled floor of 8m X 8m. If this floor is made from classic 2m x 1m modular platforms (which we recommand), they will have to be directly laid on the ground, without their stands and strapped together with ratchet straps. Some scenes can make the stage move due to violent impacts. - If the ground is regular but considered fragile by the organiser : The technical director of the theatre could consider necessary to add a layer of wood panels. Stage set and scenery of the show provided by the company : 3 layers of wood panels set in the order described below : - 1 layer of 15mm plywood => 8m x 8m - 1 layer of 12mm plywood => 7m32 x 7m32-18 panels of 12mm MDF => 7m32 x 7m32 NB : These pannels are not a floor, they are part of the show s scenery - stage accessories/props : 4 cubic meters of logs, 4 axes. CAPACITY AND PLACING OF THE AUDIENCE There is no limit to the capacity of the audience but the organiser will make sure the visibility is good for all the audience. The show is preferably performed with the audience on all four sides but it can also be performed with the audience on three, two or one side, depending on the possibilities of the venue. (see audience placing schema) In either dispositions, it is crucial to respect the security distance between the audience and the stage : - If the stage is at ground level : 2m00 from the black edge (see plans) and the feet of the first row. - If the stage is at 20cm from ground level : 2m20 -If the stage is at 20cm from ground level : 2m20 and so and so. In order to have a correct visibility of the show the audience seats must be placed higher than the stage (see audience placing schema) 2

4 SOUND The show does not require any sound system or amplification. MATERIAL TO BE PROVIDED BY THE ORGANISER - 4 logs of 50cm long by 20 to 25 cm of diameter cut straight and without knots by performance (see picture page 7) CAUTION : no Pine wood -1 tree trunk of 1m60 x 35cm (up to 40cm max) of diameter (see picture page 7) - 2 brooms, handbrushs and a dustbin for the wood shavings before and after the show -2 suqeegees in case of rain - 36 meters of ratchet-strap - Dressing rooms with toilets, bottles of water, fresh and dry fruits - parking space as close as possible to the performance space for an IVECO van (registrered 1-AUU-096) 7m long and 2,90m high + a 3,5m long trailer In the case of an event with different companies sharing the same stage, we can perform fisrt or after an interval of 4H30 minimum for the set up if the other companies can perform on our floor. THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE SHOW IF THE MINIMAL CONDITIONS OF PRESENTATION ARE NOT ENTIRELY RESPECTED. 4
