I think of every piece as a tiny sculpture designed to be viewed from multiple angles and dynamically inhabit space in three dimensions. The colors and accents are added using Venetian techniques, precise marks, & brute strength. The pieces are then cooled slowly to room temperature to prevent shattering, carefully cut, and polished to perfection. Large tools are used for roughing out and shaping. Texturing is done with nothing more than a variety of hand tools, (hammer, chisel, files and sandpaper). Polishing is labor intense 13 step process.
