WRNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK - efore beginning installation, turn off electricity at the circuit breaker box or the main fuse box. RISK OF FIRE - Use bulbs specified by the markings and/or labels on the fixture. CUTION For your safety, read instructions completely before beginning installation. If in doubt about electrical installation, consult a licensed electrician. Turn off electricity to fixture before replacing the bulb(s). PREPRTION efore beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product. 4 SSEMLY INSTRUCTIONS. Unravel fixture wires from inside fixture canopy (E), then pull taut. Secure fixture canopy (E) to the top of center column (F) and fixture assembly (G) to the bottom of center column (F). E F Fixture Wires Then, attach the hooks on the decorative chains preassembled to fixture assembly (G) to the corresponding hooks preassembled on ceiling canopy (E). Chain G 2. Secure the crossbar assembly () to the outlet box (not included) with outlet box screws (). Tighten until snug. Note: The preassembled mounting nipple on the crossbar should protrude outward. 2 Outlet ox Hardware Used Outlet ox Screw x 2 3. Remove the preassembled canopy lock ring from crossbar assembly (). Temporarily attach the ceiling canopy () to the preassembled nipple on the crossbar assembly (), securing with canopy lock ring. If the ceiling canopy () is not snug against the ceiling, remove it from the crossbar assembly () and adjust the length of the preassembled nipple by unscrewing the preassembled hex nut. Screw the nipple in or out of the crossbar until the correct length is achieved, then reattach the ceiling canopy (). 3 I Hex Nut Outlet ox Canopy Chain Loop Canopy Lock Ring 4

5 SSEMLY INSTRUCTIONS 4. djust the fixture chain () to the desired length, removing links if needed. Connect one end of the fixture chain () onto the canopy chain loop preassembled to crossbar assembly () with one quick link (C) and then connect the other end of the fixture chain () to the fixture loop preassembled on the fixture canopy (E) with another quick link (C). Note: You may need to use pliers (not included) to open the links of fixture chain (). If so, put a cloth over the fixture chain () to protect the finish from the pliers. 4 C C Canopy Chain Loop Fixture Loop Suggested chain length for mounting over a 30-in. table: 8-ft. ceiling: 4 inches of chain + 2 quick links 9-ft. ceiling: 6 inches of chain + 2 quick links 0-ft. ceiling: 24 inches of chain + 2 quick links E 5. Pull the fixture wires and ground wire up through the fixture chain (), alternating links. 5 Fixture Wires 6. Unthread the canopy lock ring preassembled to crossbar assembly () and slide it and the ceiling canopy () down the fixture chain (). Push all slack fixture wire through canopy chain loop on crossbar assembly () and into outlet box. Trim excess fixture wire, leaving a minimum of 6 in. hanging out of the outlet box. 6 Canopy Chain Loop Outlet ox Canopy Lock Ring 5

6 SSEMLY INSTRUCTIONS 7. ttach ground fixture wire to either the green ground screws preassembled on the crossbar assembly () or to the ground wire in the outlet box (usually GREEN or RE). If attaching fixture ground wire to the crossbar (), it is imperative the outlet box in your home be properly grounded. Connect the neutral (WHITE or RIE) side fixture wire to the neutral (usually WHITE) wire from the outlet box. Connect the hot (LCK or SMOOTH) side fixture wire to the hot (usually LCK) wire from the outlet box. Fasten wires together with a wire connector () and tightly wrap wire connector () with electrical tape (not included). Note: Lemon oil was applied to shades (H) prior to packaging to prevent oxidation of the solder. Remove any excess oil with a clean, soft cloth prior to assembly. 9 G Socket Remove the preassembled socket collars from the fixture assembly (G). Place the shades (H) onto the sockets and secure with the socket collars. Hand tighten until snug. H Socket Collar 6

Use 00-watt max. standard-base incandescent bulbs or 23-watt max. standard-base spring self-ballasted CFLs. 0 ulb CRE N MINTENNCE Wipe clean using soft, dry cloth or static duster. lways avoid using harsh chemicals and abrasives to clean fixture as they may damage the finish. Use a clean, soft cloth to wipe the shades. Cleaning products containing ammonia should not be used as it can affect the finish on the solder. Solder is a metal that can oxidize (tarnish), which results in a white film on the solder. This can be removed and prevented with a light coating of lemon oil. Use a clean, soft cloth to clean the fixture base. You may also dampen the cloth with a mild solution of soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with a white cloth dipped in clean water. TROULESHOOTING PROLEM POSSILE CUSE CORRECTIVE CTION ulbs will not light. Fuse blows or the circuit breaker trips when light is turned on.. ulb is burned out. 2. Power is off. 3. 8 WRRNTY The manufacturer warrants all of its lighting fixtures against defects in materials and workmanship for one () years from the date of purchase. If within this period the product is found to be defective in material or workmanship, the product must be returned, with a copy of the original sales receipt as proof of purchase in the original carton, to the place of purchase. The manufacturer will, at its option, repair, replace or refund the original purchase price to the consumer.
