Place the main power switch in the OFF position and unscrew the fuse(s), or switch OFF the circuit breaker switch(es), that control the power to the fixture or room that you are working on. Place the wall switch in the "OFF" position. f the fixture to be replaced has a switch or pull chain, place it in the "OFF" position. Do not use bulbs with wattage greater than specified on this fixture. PREPARATON Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. ompare parts with package contents list. f any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product. Estimated assembly time: 30 minutes to 1 hour Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, ladder, safety glasses, chain pliers. 3

Screw 6 in. threaded pipes (N) onto 12 in. threaded pipes (O). onnect fixture loop (L) onto the top 12 in. threaded pipe (O). 1 L Note: The hanging height for this fixture is adjustable. Add or subtract threaded pipes to achieve the desired height. N O 2. Screw threaded nipple () into screw collar loop () a minimum of 1/4 in. Lock in place with a preassembled hex nut (D). Screw second hex nut (D) to the center of threaded nipple (). Orient mounting bracket (B) so the raised center portion protrudes into the outlet box (not included). Screw threaded nipple () into the mounting bracket (B) and lock in place with the third hex nut (D). onnect mounting bracket (B) to the outlet box with short machine screws (BB). Hardware Used 2 Outlet Box D B BB BB Short Machine Screw x 2 3. Pass canopy (A) over the screw collar loop (). Turn the screw collar loop () in or out of the mounting bracket (B) until 1/2 of the screw collar loop () exterior threads are exposed. After a desired position is found, lock threaded nipple () in place by tightening the second hex nut (D) up against the mounting bracket (B). Attach screw collar ring (H) to screw collar loop (). 3 D B H 4

5 ASSEMBLY NSTRUTONS 4. Using the open chain link, attach chain link (K) to screw collar loop () and the other end to fixture loop (L). Weave the fixture electrical and ground wires through every other chain link and pass through threaded nipple () into outlet box. Lower the screw collar ring (H) and canopy (A) over the chain (K). 4 Outlet Box H A L K 5. Wire connection guide: Ground wire: For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from outlet box around ground screw on mounting bracket (B) no less than 2 in. from wire end. Tighten ground screw. f fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect to outlet ground wire with a wire connector (AA). For installation in anada: f fixture is supplied with ground wire, wrap ground wire around ground screw on mounting bracket (B). Tighten ground screw. Supply wires: onnect the Neutral (White) supply wire from the outlet box to the Neutral fixture wire (White or Parallel ord D shaped and ribbed). onnect the Hot (Black) supply wire from the outlet box to the Hot fixture wire (Black or Parallel ord round and smooth). NOTE: Fixture will have 2 wires either Black & White or Parallel ord SPT-1 lamp wire with one round smooth wire and one D shaped ribbed wire. Raise shade housing (J) to the fixture body (P) and secure with thumbscrews (). 7 P Hardware Used Thumbscrew x 2 J 8. Pass shade (G) over threaded socket (E) and secure with threaded socket ring (F). Use a 60-watt max. medium-base incandescent bulb or a FL equivalent. 9 E ARE AND MANTENANE Always be certain that electric current is turned off before cleaning this item. Use a soft, moist cloth with mild non-abrasive soap to clean fixture. Never use glass cleaner on fixture, as it will damage the metal finish. All glass shades may be washed in a towel-lined sink with warm water and mild soap. Do not wash shades in an automatic dishwasher. Bulb Replacement: Use 60-watt max. medium-base bulb. 8 WARRANTY PATROT LGHTNG WARRANTY 5-YEAR LMTED WARRANTY: This PATROT LGHTNG brand light fixture carries a five (5) Year Limited Warranty to the original purchaser. f, during normal use, this PATROT LGHTNG light fixture fails due to a defect in material and workmanship within five (5) years from the date of purchase, simply bring this light fixture with your original sales receipt back to your nearest MENARDS retail store. At its discretion, PATROT LGHTNG agrees to have the lighting fixture replaced with the same or similar PATROT LGHTNG product free of charge, within the stated warranty period, when returned by the original purchaser with original sales receipt. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by misuse or abuse including but not limited to improper installation, accident, unauthorized repair, maintenance, or modifications of the merchandise. This warranty: (1) excludes expendable parts including but not limited to light bulbs, batteries; (2) carries a 2-year finish warranty protecting finish against tarnishing, flaking, and discoloration; (3) shall be void if this lighting fixture is not installed in the U.S.A; (4) does not cover products installed within three miles of saltwater coastline or any area prone to salt spray; and (5) does not cover any losses, labor, injuries to persons/property or costs.
