1 ELECTION CANDIDATES PRESIDENT: Nadine N. Brdecka, CPSD, C.P.M. Nadine Brdecka is a US FVC Logistics and Indirect Procurement Specialist at BP Products North America, Inc., at the Whiting, IN refinery. She received her undergraduate degree from Elmhurst College, who in addition to her existing designation as lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager, (C.P.M.) from the Institute for Supply Management in 2000, has earned her designation as Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) in December 2013, and her Green Belt in Six Sigma through Chicago Deming Association in She has conducted training programs for Institute of Supply Management, ISM in Negotiations, Networking, IT and Supply Management. In addition, she has published articles in E-Purchaser 2013, Packaging Horizons Magazine, and has received numerous awards and certificates of achievement for her contributions to the supply management profession. Nadine has won multiple awards: 2007, Buyers Achievement for Outstanding Service and Support The John Pressley Award for Outstanding Services and Dedication 2009, The Bishop Award for Dedication and Exemplary Service to ISM-Chicago At the BP Whiting Refinery, Nadine is a Diversity and Inclusion Leader with the Engergia Latino Network, Supplier Diversity Champion for the Procurement Department and the Ambassador for the Values and Behavior Chapter. Nadine is a very dedicated board member who has been actively involved with the ISM-Chicago for over 20 years. She currently chairs the Career Connections Committee with ISM-Chicago. In addition, she assists with mentoring, business relationships, leadership, communication skills, personal and membership growth. EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT: Dawn Gustafson Dawn is currently the Director of Facilities for Grayhill, Inc., a privately held electronics manufacturing company in LaGrange, Illinois. She has been in purchasing and facilities for over 20 years. Dawn holds a B.A. from DePaul University in Psychology. She has been a member of ISM-Chicago since Dawn is currently a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Programs Committee, and a member of the Sustainability Committee for ISM- Chicago. Dawn s vision for ISM-Chicago is to create an environment, through education and networking, that can assist fellow Purchasing professionals attain their personal and professional goals. Dawn feels the greatest challenges for ISM-Chicago are growing and sustaining membership and providing relevant and interesting meeting topics to the membership. As Executive Vice President, she hopes to bring value and contribute to meeting the Board s goals through listening to the members needs, instilling team spirit and inspiring professional growth.

John Paparella is a Senior Category Manager in the Technology & Corporate Services Procurement division at United Airlines, Inc. He has over 25 years of Supply Chain experience in supporting many areas including IT, marketing, print, consulting, and tax. John has an MBA from Roosevelt University and a B.S. in Business Administration from St. Joseph s University. He joined ISM the Institute for Supply Management and ISM Chicago in Since then, he has been an active member and has earned his A.P.P., C.P.M., CPSM and CPSD designations. Currently, John is a Director on the Board of Directors at ISM-Chicago. He continues to serve on the Membership Committee, was instrumental in implementing the new ISM-Chicago "Member Connect" program on-line and continues to explore and develop new opportunities that add value to the organization, increase membership, and promote member participation that result in additional benefits for members of ISM-Chicago. BOARD CANDIDATES (Vote for three) Rita Fong, C.P.M., MBA Rita Fong has over 17 years of global supply chain and procurement experience. With progressive responsibilities in Altria, Kraft Foods, Mondelez and Hospira, her current role is Global Sourcing Lead with Pfizer. Rita joined ISM in 2004 and has served as a volunteer for the ISM-Chicago since Her roles included Board of Director and Committee Chair for International Committee in She is planning to launch a new Global Packaging Committee in Rita was awarded the Shelly Rising Star in 2012 and was recognized for Board of Director service in Originally an expatriate from Hong Kong in 1999, Rita speaks Cantonese and Mandarin fluently. Outside of work, Rita enjoys traveling, long distance running and cycling. Rita and her husband are active volunteers supporting Northwestern Alumni Association and Northwestern football. Rita holds EMBA at University of Ottawa, Canada.

3 ISM-CHICAGO ELECTION CANDIDATES 3 Reuben Hamilton, Jr. Reuben Hamilton, Jr. is the Manager, Supplier Diversity/GNFR for the Walgreens Co (Member of Walgreens Booths Alliance), located in Deerfield IL. Walgreens, one of the nation's largest drugstore chains, is included in the Retail Pharmacy USA Division of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc., the first global pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise. Reuben is involved in several aspects of Walgreen Co operations, and is also responsible for the administration and execution of the corporate supplier diversity program strategy for recognizing the critical role diverse suppliers have in the companies continued success. He has over 15 years of experience in the health care field and has been actively involved in the selection process of suppliers to meet corporate needs. A graduate of North Park University, Reuben is actively involved and a member with several local and nationally recognize advocacy groups, he sits on the Board of Directors for the James Jordan Boy's & Girl's Club, and has been part of committees with the National Association of Purchasing Management - Chicago Chapter, the Chicago Women's Business Development Center, the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, the Chicago Minority Business Development Council, the National Minority Supplier Development Council, where he has served as the past Co-Chairman of the National Health Care Industry Group and was awarded the "Andres C. Rasmussen, Jr. Award" in 2003 and the Chairman s Special Recognition Award in 2010 by the MBEIC (Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee) of the Chicago Minority Business Development Council for his committee to building relationships and developing opportunities for diverse vendors. Robert Mietus Robert Mietus is the Vice President of Member Development at Corporate United. Robert has over 10 years of experience in managing supply chain, procurement, and turnaround initiatives. Robert has managed over $3B in initiatives and identified over $600MM in cost reductions and value improvements from supply chain strategies to conduct global strategic sourcing initiatives in 30+ countries, e-procurement implementations, sales and operations planning (S&OP) implementations, supply chain redesigns, working capital improvements, make versus buy analysis, internal process redesign, organizational development, and supplier development and innovation initiatives. Robert is committed to People Development and the evolution of the procurement profession. He has built and led high performing global teams and has trained 250+ professionals in the areas of strategic sourcing, fact-based negotiations, communications, project management, change management and partnership management. Robert has also played an active role in his profession as an active member of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and various Procurement / Supply Chain Councils and has organized, presented, and facilitated at a variety of conferences, events, and thought leadership sessions. Robert graduated with High Honors from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration concentrating in Supply Chain Management. He has achieved certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS and is a Caterpillar trained green belt.

He is very passionate about the area of procurement and continues to mentor people who are starting their careers in this area. Vikrant is very actively involved with various community service organizations and has also served as the President of the alumni board for the GSB, Loyola University Chicago from He has presented at various conferences and published articles in academic and industry journals. He also leads a team with responsibility for the Sealing and Engine Business Unit Purchasing function within Federal-Mogul Motorparts with spend accountability of around $600mill globally. David s additional responsibilities include P&L and operational accountability for two factories in Argentina manufacturing engine components (Pistons and Bearings). David has been with Federal-Mogul since 2007 where he started in the Pinetown operation in Durban, South Africa. David was featured in Supply Management s Top 35 under 25 in 2009 ( Since then he has relocated to the United States and presently operates out of the Skokie facility in Illinois just north of Chicago when not traveling globally to meet the needs of his current role. Prior to Joining Federal-Mogul David worked in outsourced Purchasing for 8 years at a company called John Williams Buyers. He had responsibility for implementing Purchasing Systems, Procedures and Organizations for numerous clients across South Africa across multiple business segments including FMCG, Mining, Food and Packaging amongst others. David has a passion for electronics and completed his further education studies in South Africa with a focus on Computer Engineering. He continues to pursue his passion today through integration of technology in his daily Purchasing responsibilities constantly looking for more effective tools to drive change and success. David also enjoys cycling and reading in his limited spare time and is perpetually seeking new challenges.
