From 1980 to 1999, worked for this enterprise as my main source of income while building the Bakery business. Creator/Writer Bees, Trees, and Me children s musical theater, presented at the Holtsville Zoo, NY for eight years. Founder of LINC for Kids (Long Island Nature Clubs) to help all children appreciate the beauties and pleasures mother nature has to offer to us all (nine years). Producer/Coordinator of An Okeanos Adventure, half-hour video tape with classroom teacher s guide, with Billy Joel, Jim Chapin and Tom Chapin; a film about rescuing sea mammals and turtles. 3 Long Island Distinguished Author (one of 15 specially recognized by Hillary Clinton), SCCC Presidential Medal, Distinguished Alumni Award, Publications McHeffey s publications include books and programs on retail visual merchandising (used in Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma), balancing business and home life, and handling difficult customer service issues (used in high school and college marketing classes across the country). Personal Age 58, very healthy, very ambitious. Lifelong member of St. John s Church, founded Welcome Home to create a sense of community and outreach for collaboration of all religious and spiritual institutions in the area (growing strongly). Four grown children, three beautiful grandchildren; lives in Center Moriches, Long Island with (wife) Danielle, and a backyard full of pets.

4 Tim McHeffey teaches Marketing and Management courses at various colleges in the Long Island/NYC area. In addition to being an Adjunct Professor (full-time for the past dozen years), his thirty-year career has been spent mostly in department store retailing management, and his own small businesses as well (gifts, bakeries). McHeffey also worked with Dun and Bradstreet in New York City, and presented seminars for D&B across the country. McHeffey s publications include: Make Friends Make Customers Profitable Strategies for Successful Selling on the Retail Sales Floor IBE, NY Book, Classroom Teacher s Guide, Video-Tape Course; marketed to retail department store training programs across the Country. This was the origin of a program which was named One of Twenty-Five Best Practices in the United States by the National Retail Federation Foundation. Much of this has been through Castle Worldwide, who provides examination delivery, design, and development services to certification and licensure organizations, government agencies, corporations, educational institutions, and trade and professional associations. Professor McHeffey has also consulted and contributed on numerous projects for large textbook publishers in the Marketing and Management Business disciplines.
