1 Scenario: Tomitoot Production, is a voiceover company, that produces voiceovers in a few foreign languages to series like: The smurfs, Bob The Builder, the Barbie Movies series, and many more. The company is planning to create a professional development program for its employees. Tomitoot Productions has four main departments: 1. Creative 2. Technology 3. Business 4. Artistic My supervisor, has asked me to conduct a research, and limit it to 10 pages long. He wanted me to present it to him and writhe the best options for professional development programs for the employees, working at the different departments.

2 Professional Development Program Win Win Situation. Can we make series like The smurfs, Dragon Tales, Bo On The Go, Bob The Builder, and others, sound better? Yes we can!, as Bob the builder always says. We can definitely make these beloved series sound better, and touch our children s hearts even more than they have till now. In order to get our employees better in what they do, Tomitoot Productions will need to help them develop their skills, by sending their professional workers to study. The competition in the voiceover industry is huge. By getting Tomitoot Productions professional staff be much more knowledgeable, and be updated with the newest and latest recording and mixing techniques, newest softwares in the market, most up to dated creative writing techniques, and the best knowledge and ideas for the business development department, Tomitoot Productions can raise its professionalism, set the bar higher, be innovating and become one of the best companies in its industry, while giving great development opportunities for its employees. This is definitely a win win situation. After a long research online, and consulting with experts from our industry, I get to suggest a list of the most professional and suitable programs for our employees, and the most convenient development solutions for our company.

3 I chose online programs, and also on campus programs that are located close to our studios area, in Boston. This way, our employees will be able to enjoy their studies while continuing working and earning money. In addition, we want to give our workers and the opportunity to choose from the best programs that the high education system has to offer. The first department is The Creative Department, which includes the writers and the translators. Our writers and translators need to get updated with new writing techniques and a lot of practice. 1. This is exactly what we want. We are sending our writers to become better storytellers. Full sail University offers a Bachelor s of Fine Arts Degree.

4 This program will help our writers improve their writing and editorial skills, by emphasizing on visual storytelling, Narrative structures, character development, scriptwriting, and storyboarding. For our two writers who already have their Bachelor s degree, Full sail University offers a master s degree, specializes in film screenwriting and storyboarding, character creation and development, the art of visual storytelling, and editing for film, game, and animation. 2. The next program I am going to recommend, is at South New Hampshire University, (Snhu). degrees/bachelors/ba in creative writing and english/screen writing Snhu, is operating since It has gained national recognition for helping students succeed, and is known for its low tuition rates. SNHU's online BA in Creative Writing and English with a concentration in Screenwriting. The classes in this specialized screenwriting degree are based on a comprehensive study of creative writing, with a special focus on story structure, character development

5 and the visual medium of film. You'll have the opportunity to explore all of the forms that screenwriting takes feature length and short films, television episodes and miniseries, commercial and Internet based video. 3. Another program for writers is at New York Film Academy. This school is operating in this field, for over twenty four years. Each summer, the New York Film Academy holds its programs at Harvard University, perhaps the most famous learning institution in the world. This is not a degree program, As it is four to six week long. They offer screenwriting courses level one and two, and advanced line producing workshop. That will give our writers a nice overview of the newest writing techniques, and a lot of practice. It is operating during the summer, while usually it is a quiet time in our studios. The next category will be concentrating on programs for our sound engineers:

6 1. Berklee Online the online extension school of Berklee College of Music. This program, has an award winning curriculum. Berklee College of Music offers Electronic Music Production and Sound Design certificate program. This certificate program is great for our engineers. It will expose them to the wide world of sound engineering, and it will teach them the latest techniques of recording and mixing. Moreover, in our productions we need to record a lot of music, so it will be very beneficial for the engineer and for us. 2. This course is concentrated on home studios mastering, and will teach our engineers independent thinking, technical problem Solving, and quick solution finding ; which will save a lot of precious studio time

This school is owned by Bruce A Miller, who is a recording and mixing engineer since 1984, working for Artists like: Mariah Carey, Miles Davis, Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole< Duran Duran, and many more. It is an amazing opportunity for our engineers, to learn from the best of the best of the sound engineering field. The business department, is a very important department. Without our business people, we would not be able to get work or to sell our services. I have found a few very interesting programs.

This is a full online program, again, our employees can enjoy working full time, while learning and developing their business and marketing skills Lesley University is located right at our back yard, and even though this is an online program, it is alway convenient to have the head offices of your university close to you.

There is no need to introduce Harvard University. graduate certificates/marketi ng management certificate Now, professionals that work full time, can get a certificate from Harvard Extension online school. Gain the tools and techniques you need to engage audiences and inspire action in today s complex, multichannel landscape. Through this professional graduate certificate, you build skills in strategy, research and analysis, and integrate marketing communications to help you position your organization and yourself. Our employees will learn from the most prestigious professionals and professors in the field of business studies, and will enjoy a wonderful development program at Harvard Extention. For the fourth and the last department, the artistic department, that includes our actors, I found that the acting programs are happening at other recording studios.

10 That can create a problem for Tomitoot Production, as our actors will be learning with from and with our competitors. I had to consult with an expert in this field, Mr. Ron Druyan, a berklee college of Music alumni, graduated as Suma Com Loude. His is a colleague and an expert in developing careers of artists. Mr. Druyan, also owns recording studios overseas for over twenty four years. He came up with a brilliant idea, that I am strongly recommend to act upon. He told me that we need to open a new department at our studios : The School for The Art of Voiceover Acting. This solution will solve the problem of sending our actors to study at our competition, and it will also create another stream of income for our business. We have the facility, we have the engineers, and we have the talent. All we need to add, is instructors, which means very experienced and knowledgeable voiceovers actors. With the development programs for our employees, and the new department The School for the Art of Voiceover Acting, Tomitoot Production, will become much more professional and much more connected with its young audience; in addition, our company will increase its profits, by developing its own voiceover acting school. Furthermore, it is very important to keep our employees happy and ithusiastic about what they do. This is the best way to get an incredible product a wonderfully acted, recorded and produced voiceover work.
