2 Coral Reefs of Kuwait 25 Jan 2016 KUFPEC Publishes the Coral Reefs of Kuwait Book As part of its firm commitment towards environmental awareness KUFPEC Publishes the Coral Reefs of Kuwait Book Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) announced today the publication of Coral Reefs of Kuwait, a book that explores the amazing diversity of marine ecosystems in the Arabian Gulf, shedding light on the multiple risks endangering the sustainability of the coral reefs of the State of Kuwait. The publication of the Coral Reefs of Kuwait book follows on the success of its predecessor Birds of Kuwait book, released by KUFPEC two years ago. The 270-page Coral Reefs of Kuwait is also the culmination of 8 years of research and underwater photography in cooperation with the non-governmental organization Biodiversity East assisted by many professional photographers, experts and scientific research institutions inside and outside Kuwait. Our coral reefs are as important as any other natural resource and they must be protected and preserved for future generations, says KUFPEC Chief Executive Officer, Sheikh/ Nawaf S. Al-Sabah. KUFPEC, he added, is committed to protecting and preserving our natural and environmental resources and ensuring the sustainability of our unique ecological diversity. KUFPEC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation ( KPC ), is an international petroleum company engaged in exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas outside the State of Kuwait. It is currently active in 15 countries with 64 projects in the international upstream sector. KUFPEC continues to work aggressively towards meeting its targets and achieving its strategic plans, aiming to increase its production to 200,000 BOEPD with reserves of 650 MMBOE by the year 2020, while delivering value to the Kuwaiti oil sector. 3 KUFPEC hosts Mohammad Al-Shatti KUFPEC hosts Mohammad Al-Shatti for a talk on Crude Oil Outlook 2016 Commercial Department at KUFPEC hosted Mohammad Al-Shatti, Manager, CEO office KPC on Monday, January 25, 2016, at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Auditorium; KUFPEC Head Office who presented a visually-rich analysis on Crude Oil Outlook In his presentation, Mr. Al-Shatti shed light on the various causes for oil price drop; Global stock surplus, OPEC Policy and slow down of the Chinese economy. He further touched upon the Kuwaiti crude oil market and future prospects. Event started with a welcome remarks by Waleed Al Ben Ali, Manager Commercial Department. Event was concluded with a speech by KUFPEC Chief Executive Officer, Sheikh/ Nawaf S. Al-Sabah who thanked Mr. Al-Shatti for accepting KUFPEC invitation and presented him a copy of the recently released book by KUFPEC titled Coral Reef s of Kuwait. 3

5 KUFPEC hosted an inspiring session with Kuwaiti mountaineer Fuad Qabazard on Sunday, 31 January 2016, at Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Auditorium, KUFPEC Head Office. Mr. Qabazard succeeded in climbing up 5,364 meters to the Mount Everest Base Camp, located in the Mahalangur mountain range in Nepal and Tibet and raised Kuwaiti Flag. In his inspirational and visually rich presentation titled A MAN s worth is no greater than his AMBITIONS, Mr. Qabazard shared his adventures, the challenges and hardships the team had to overcome and lessons learned while he courageously under went such an adventures that has been culminated with the raising of Kuwaiti flag on top of the Mount Everest. His story highlighted the power of positive thinking and importance of motivating the team to focus on the task ahead. Summing up his experience Mr. Qabazard concluded by saying courage, determination and perseverance are tools that enable a person to achieve the impossible. The event, organized by KUFPEC Commercial Department, was concluded with a Question and Answer session where many KUFPEC employees interacted with Mr. Qabazard. 5

Al-Sabah KUFPEC CEO airs for the very first time at the event a new 10-minute corporate video documentary entitled KUFPEC: Energizing our Future. The corporate documentary features KUFPEC core business activities, milestones, strategy and corporate social responsibilities. The documentary focuses on sharing technologies between our International upstream operators/partners and KPC s subsidiaries such as Kuwait Oil Company and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company from exploring current and prospective upstream opportunities including LNG to the exploration and production of shale oil. 10 In her presentation in a plenary discussion, entitled NOC Strategies for a New World on Tuesday 23 February 2016, Mrs. Hosnia gave a presentation that touched on the following items: Global low oil prices and its drivers General view on Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its 2030 strategy KPC International Upstream-KUFPEC Strategy Highlights of KUFPEC major projects and company aspirations Today s world-an unpredictable world During this strategic dialogue which focused on the challenges facing national oil companies (NOCs) and their variant responses to volatility and uncertainty in a time of low oil prices, Mrs. Hosnia was joined by a distinguished group of speakers that included Besim Sisman,President & CEO, Turkish Petroleum, Narendra K. Verma, Chief Executive Officer, ONGC Videsh and Juan Carlos Echeverry, Chief Executive Officer, Ecopetrol. The session was also followed by interactive discussion among the presenters and between session participants and panelists. Also, in another separate panel on Wednesday 24 February 2016 devoted to exploring the role of women as leaders in the energy industry, Mrs. Hosnia, who was joined by Elizabeth Littlefield, President & CEO, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Zenaida Monsada, Secretary of Energy, Republic of Philippines and Cynthia Warner, EVP, Strategy & Business Development, Tesoro made a presentation in which she gave an overview of the Gender Diversity in the Oil and Gas sector, shedding light on the challenges to attract and retain professional women for the different roles within the sector s workforce. She exemplified her points with the Kuwaiti oil sector case study highlighting the endeavors exerted by KPC and its subsidiaries to endorse and promote the advancement of women in the national oil sector in Kuwait. 14 Oil and Gas Summit 11 Apr 2016 Kuwait Holds the 4th Oil and Gas Summit Under the patronage of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Acting Minister of Oil and KPC Chairman H.E. Mr. Anas Al-Saleh, Kuwait Inaugurated the 4th Oil and Gas Summit held from April 2016 at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel. Venezuelan former Minister of Energy and Mines H.E. Dr. Alirio Parra welcomed the distinguished guests from the energy sector at the event hosted by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. Following Dr. Parra, KPC Deputy Chairman and Chief 14

16 Kuwait University Job Fair 12 Apr 2016 KUFPEC participates in the Advisory Program of Disciplines & Job Opportunities Fair at Kuwait University Under the patronage of Kuwait University Dean for the Faculty of Science Prof. Jassim Mohammad Al-Hassan, the Advisory Program of Disciplines & Job Opportunities Fair was inaugurated at Prof. Faiza Al-Khurafi Building on Tuesday 12 April, 2016 at Kuwait University. The 3-day event brought together under one roof several private and public companies including KUFPEC, provides an 16
