ANCORD is a new entity representing the Intermediation System of the Financial and Capital Market. Its origin is the result of the integration of ADEVAL and ANCOR activities which decided to create a single association aimed at enhancing the ability to represent, assist regulate and provide a larger number of quality services to their associates. ANCORD represents all the Financial Services Brokers in Brazil. ABRACAM, Associação Brasileira de Corretoras de Cambio (Brazilian Association of Foreign Exchange Brokers) is an association founded with the purpose of unifying the Foreign Exchange Brokers in the country, to gather their forces and expand their participation in the market as well as having a voice in front of the regulators, financial institutions, government agencies, etc The US National Money Transmitters Association (NMTA) was born out of the need of money transmitters to have a voice in shaping and developing this industry. The Association, started in 1999, channels the concerns of licensed money transmitters across the United States and provides a mechanism to address issues that impact our business, with the strength and support of a national organization.

11 SPEAKERS Geraldo Magela Geraldo has been with the Banco Central do Brasil for 35 years, 31 in the Foreign Exchange Area of the Bank. He is currently the Head of the Câmbio e Capitais Estrangeiros Unit at the Bank (GENCE), the area in charge with developing studies to modernize the all regulations and procedures applicable to foreign exchange, money transfer, foreign investment, Brazilian investments abroad, etc. It was one of the coordinators of the team that prepared the studies that resulted in the unification of the foreign exchange market in 2005 and the improvements seen in the current foreign exchange regulations. Massimo Cirasino Massimo, an Italian national and an economist, joined the World Bank in July 1998 and is the Head of the Payment System Development Group (PSDG) at World Bank, in Washington, D.C. The PSDG helps develop sound and efficient Payment, Remittance, and Securities Settlement Systems, to strengthen financial stability and support access to finance. Hugo Cuevas-Mohr Hugo is President and CEO of Mohr World Consulting, a consultancy based in Miami, Florida. Hugo has been a consultant since 2001 for a number of companies and financial institutions in the Money Trnasfer Industry in Latin America, United States and Europe and has been a speaker at many local and international Conferences. Since 2010 Mohr World has been organizing the IMTC Conferences in Miami (7th Annual next October), In Los Angeles (2nd Annual) and Mexico in 2010 and Brazil in Manuel Orozco Manuel is Senior Associate and Director of Remittances and Development at the Inter-American Dialogue in Washington, D.C. He has conducted extensive research, policy analysis and advocacy on issues relating to global flows of remittances, and migration and development worldwide. He is chair of Central America and the Caribbean at the U.S. Foreign Service Institute. He is also adjunct professor at Georgetown University, where he is senior researcher at the Institute for the Study of International Migration. He frequently testifies before Congress and has spoken before the United Nations. David Landsman David is the Executive Director of the NMTA since He has worked in different capacities in the money transfer business since 1977, specializing in federal BSA/AML and state money transmitter compliance. He has made strides in organizing the money transfer industry, promoting the image of licensed money transmitters, and defending the industry s right to maintain bank accounts. The NMTA is developing new compliance training materials for money transmitters and their agents, and organizing the Council on Information Sharing to help money transmitters better manage agent credit risk. Liberal Leandro Gomes Leandro, studied International Trade in the Universidade São Judas in São Paulo and in the wellknown Fundação Getulio Vargas where he obtained an MBA in Finances. He is an Associate Director of Graco Corretora de Câmbio S.A. a Foreign Exchange Company with offices in several cities in Brazil and since July 2010, Leandro is the President of ABRACAM ((Associação Brasileira Dos Corretores de Câmbio), the Brazilian Association of Exchange Brokers. Leonardo Costa Franco Leonardo is a Doctor of Law and Social Sciences and received a Masters Degree in International Taxation Law from Harvard University He has been a Consultant for the Inter American Development Bank, several Central Banks in South America as well as a consultant for Kroll and several other auditing and compliance firms. Working as Under-Secretary of the President of Uruguay, he represented Uruguay in the Board of Authorities of GAFISUD. He has been a Professor of International Taxation Law and Financial Law at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay. 11 b

Daniel Trias Daniel is a consultant, specializing in banking, finance and foreign trade, for over 25 years. He has developed his career in the financial market occupying management positions in several institutions of financial intermediation in Uruguay. His expertise is focused on the area of International Trade Zones, Offshore Banking and Commerce for institutions in Uruguay and in many countries around the world. He currently works as VP for International Business Development for Xoom Corp. where he is responsible for Xoom s operations in Latin America and Caribbean. Prior to working in the money transfer industry, he worked at the US. State Department, Walt Disney and McCormick and Co. Gene was born in New York City and grew up in Nicaragua. He holds a BA and MA in International Relations and an MBA in International Business. Fernando Fayzano Fernando is the CEO of Pontual Money Transfer since its conception on 2005 and manages the Company operations and steers its finances in order to maximize profits. He heads the Company in its expansion within the United States while facilitating a network of business relationships with international Banks and associates. He has built a reputation for being a leader in helping US authorities understand Brazilian regulations. A native Brazilian, he is an entrepreneur with many investments and businesses. His ambitions have driven him as a leader, businessman, and a contributor to his community. Fernando Cevallos Fernando Cevallos is Senior Manager of the Forensic & Investigations Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, in São Paulo, Brasil with over 13 years of experience in forensics (corporate investigations, antibribery and corruption compliance programs), auditing, finance, tax and treasury. Fernando is a Certified Fraud Examiner and holds a MS in Business Adm. at Getúlio Vargas Foundation and Economics from the ESPOL in Ecuador. He is also a professor at the U.de São Paulo MBA program in Fraud Management. He is fluent in Spanish (native), English, Portuguese and French. Fabio Lucas Fabio Lucas has been a project manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers with 8 years of experience in organizational consulting on Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management and Corporate Governance.
