3 Biodata Bryant Trick Deputy Assistant US Trade Representative Bryant Trick has been the Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Non-Tariff Market Access issues since May 2014, where he coordinates U.S. trade policy to address nontariff barriers to trade in industrial goods in bilateral and multilateral venues, including free trade agreement negotiations such as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and regional fora such as APEC. From , he was the Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Korea, developing and implementing U.S. trade policy toward our country s sixth-largest trading partner. In addition to working on issues related to the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement, he was responsible for negotiating resolutions to bilateral trade issues and for seeking ways to enhance U.S.-Korea cooperation on global trade issues. Prior to coming to USTR, Mr. Trick worked for 11 years as a Foreign Service officer with the Department of State and U.S. Embassies abroad, most recently as Acting Director of the Office of Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein Affairs ( ). During his Foreign Service career, he also served as senior trade policy officer at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, covered environment and science policy issues at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, and human rights, democracy, and rule of law issues in the U.S. Embassy in Kiev. Before joining the U.S. Government, Mr. Trick obtained an MA in International Relations from the University of Southern California in 1995 and a BA in International Relations from the University of Redlands (California) in He also studied for one year at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany and worked on U.S.-German professional exchange programs at the Carl-Duisberg- Gesellschaft in Cologne, Germany. He speaks fluent German, strong Korean, and still tries to remember some of the Ukrainian he learned before his first assignment abroad.

4 Biodata Gheewhan Kim Minister for Economic Affairs, Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Washington, D.C. Gheewhan Kim became the Minister for Economic Affairs at the Korean Embassy in Washington, D.C on August 25, Previously he was Director-General for Multilateral Trade in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT), dealing with WTO, APEC, OECD and G20 Trade matters. He was a senior official and a chief negotiator for various WTO Doha Development Agenda negotiations, including services and fishery subsides. Mr. Kim was also involved in FTA matters as Deputy Director-General of the FTA Policy Bureau and was chief negotiator in the Korea-Japan FTA consultations. As Head of Legal Service, Mr. Kim was responsible for WTO dispute settlement at the Ministry, Where he successfully challenged countervailing measure imposed by Japan and the EU against Hynix DRAM semiconductors. He also served as Head of the Task Force for Hosing the 2012 Yeosu Exposition. Since Joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1983, Mr. Kim has served at various overseas posts, including the Embassy in Muscat, Oman, and the Korean Mission in Geneva, Switzerland. He worked as Counselor at the Embassies in the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation. Mr. Kim served as Director for Supporting North Korean Refuges at the Ministry of National Unification. He was awarded a Public Service Merit Medal in He completed military service as Lieutenant at the Judge Advocate General s Office and the Fleet Command of the Korean Navy. He received his LL.B from the College of Law at Seoul National University in Korea, and graduated from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom with an LL.M and Diploma for International Law. He is married with on daughter.

5 Biodata Hollie Pegg Assistant Director, Alabama Department of Commerce Hollie Pegg joined the Alabama Department of Commerce in She has 15 years of experience in public sector work and currently serves as Assistant Director of Commerce s Business Development Division. In this role she works to recruit domestic and international industries to Alabama and to promote the expansion and retention of existing businesses. Hollie travels around the world marketing Alabama to prospective businesses. The Alabama Department of Commerce, the lead economic development agency in the state, has one mission- to create quality job opportunities for Alabamians. She previously worked as Program Manager of Economic and Community Development for the South Central Alabama Development Commission (SCADC). During her seven year tenure at SCADC, she worked directly with local governments to promote growth and prosperity in the primarily rural six county region. Hollie received a B.A. in History from Auburn University and a Master of Public Administration from Auburn University Montgomery. She is first vice president of the Economic Development Association of Alabama, and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma s Economic Development Institute, and of the Delta Regional Authority Leadership Program.

6 Biodata Scott McMurray Director of International Investment Global Commerce Georgia Department of Economic Development Scott McMurray is a Director for Global Commerce at the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), the main sales and marketing arm of the state of Georgia. He directs a team of five project managers to develop business relationships with international companies and helps recruit those companies to establish facilities and create jobs in Georgia. Scott is on the board of directors for the Japan-America Society of Georgia. Scott joined GDEcD in 2005 as a Project Manager. Previously, he held management positions with Warehouse California Corp. and Overseas Operations Export Management, both of Los Angeles, CA. From 1988 until 1993, Scott worked as both a public high school English teacher and college instructor in Miyazaki, Japan. From 1993 until 1996, he held a position as an Import Manager for a retail store chain in southwestern Japan. A native of North Andover, MA, Scott holds bachelor s degrees in English Literature and in Economics and an M.A. in English Literature from Emory University. Additionally, he holds an associate s degree in the Japanese Language from Southern Japan International College in Miyazaki, Japan. Scott and his wife Robin reside in Atlanta, GA.

7 Biodata June Towery Partner, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough Jeong-hwa June Lee Towery is a senior partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Atlanta, practicing in the areas of corporate law, foreign investment, international transactions, and business immigration. She serves as general counsel for numerous Korea-based companies in the United States and advises on investment and operational issues in the U.S. Ms. Towery regularly writes legal columns and is a frequent speaker at seminars for foreign-owned companies as well as on topics of mentoring and women s issues. A graduate the University of Georgia School of Law, Ms. Towery is the founding president of the Korean American Bar Association of Korean Lawyers of Georgia and past president of the Korea-Southeast Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on various civic and charity organizations.
