Band Biography Red Bridge is best described as a traditionally based bluegrass band that includes four lead vocalists, 3 & 4-part harmonies, strong instrumentals and lots of variety in song selection.

2 Band Biography Red Bridge is best described as a traditionally based bluegrass band that includes four lead vocalists, 3 & 4-part harmonies, strong instrumentals and lots of variety in song selection. This group of entertainers provides high energy & high entertainment shows, which includes fun and natural humor. With their great musicianship, and most of all a strong variety of song selections from which to draw upon, the audience is kept constantly entertained and tappin' their feet! Song selections range from hard-drivin' straight ahead bluegrass to ballads, bluegrass instrumentals, gospel, twin fiddlin, old time acoustic, and even original compositions about people and places in the Ozarks. Some of their bluegrass gospel selections have even been known to bring an emotional tear to listener s eyes. All these things together provide a show that audiences will remember for a long time. Red Bridge members love to interact with the audience, both during and after the show, and have made many long-term friendships as a result. 3 Member Introductions Larry Mayfield, from Ozark, MO plays guitar, mandolin, fiddle, sings lead/harmony, and is a creative songwriter for the group. In 2002, Larry co-founded the bluegrass band, Creek s Arisin, and produced/mixed their debut CD. Learning guitar at age ten, he also taught guitar through junior high and high school. Four years of collegiate music study at Drury University in Springfield, MO has provided additional knowledge unavailable to most bluegrass groups. Cofounder of Missouri Mountain Gang in 2006, Larry is also the booking agent, promoter, and CD producer under the current name of Red Bridge. With a natural ear for music, Larry provides crystal clear sound solutions for regional bluegrass events under the name of Creek s Arisin Sound. As a key producer and event promoter of bluegrass in the Ozarks, his love of music is apparent. His knowledge, skills, and helpful disposition also make Larry one of the most respected bluegrass promoters/contacts in Southwest Missouri. I believe that if you are blessed with a talent that can help people physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually, then you are obligated to share your talent with those who can benefit from it. Everyone on earth has a purpose and in one form or another, it s to help other people. Mary Mayfield, from Ozark, MO plays bass fiddle and sings lead/harmony. In 2002, Mary helped co-found the bluegrass band, Creek s Arisin and sound company Creek s Arisin Sound. In 2006, Missouri Mountain Gang was founded, and more recently has transitioned to the name of Red Bridge. At a very young age, Mary discovered her love of vocals through a Rosemary Cloony children s album, which she credits for influencing her vocal style. Many years later, her polished vocals are now being compared to those of Patty Loveless, Dolly Parton, June Carter Cash, and even Alison Krause. In 2010, Mary was selected to serve as one of six judges during the annual KSMU Youth in Bluegrass contest held at Silver Dollar City. She is also an avid event promoter of bluegrass music in the Ozarks, and keeps fans informed of events through Facebook and periodic Creek s Arisin newsletters. Many promotional materials that you will see at these events have been designed and published by Mary. I didn t plan to become an entertainer, but have been guided to share the gift of music through bluegrass/gospel. These guys are like family, and as we continue to develop music together, we re also building life-long fellowship. 4 Heath Roberts, from Ava, MO plays mandolin, guitar, and some dobro for the group, in addition to great lead and harmony vocals. Crediting his parents for starting his musical interest at nine years of age, his grandmother also bought him his first Martin guitar and paid for many lessons. Ancestors such as his great grandfather, who played banjo and fiddle, also influenced his musical talents. Heath has been in several previous bands over the years, including Springcreek, which was co-founded in 2000 and continued for ten years. He has also been emcee/comedian for the Ava Family Theater for the past five years. In 2007, Heath also performed with the Bressler Brothers Bluegrass Band at Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Festival in Rosine, KY. Heath is a co-founding member of Red Bridge, which formed in the Fall of 2009, and was also a member of Missouri Mountain Gang. Heath s song selections and sense of humor is guaranteed to keep shows fun and fresh for a wide range of audiences. Heath is a natural extension to the established friendships and talents within Red Bridge. God has blessed me with a wonderful talent and for that I am very grateful to Him. My goal each time I take the stage is to help folks forget about their troubles for just a little while. Mark Noah, from Springfield, MO joined Red Bridge in March 2010, with his own smooth fiddlin style and even some claw hammer banjo. Mark s earliest music memories are of his dad playing the fiddle around the house, and with other musicians in the Kansas City area. His dad played semi-professionally in the KC area through the 1950 s, and began teaching Mark fiddle and rhythm guitar when he was nine years old. In his early teens, Mark also picked up the claw hammer banjo. By his high school years he was playing fiddle in a high school country band, and winning some fiddle contests in the areas around northwest Missouri and southwest Iowa. During his senior year in high school, Mark and his dad played twin fiddles for a Des Moines area warm-up band that opened for such country performers as Little Jimmy Dickens, Marvin Rainwater, and Johnny Paycheck. Mark s first exposure to real bluegrass, was while playing in a student bluegrass band during college and over the summer, for Advertureland, a theme park in the Des Moines area. After becoming a Christian his senior year in college, he eventually joined a bluegrass Gospel band in the west central Illinois area called Down Home Gospel. Since living in Springfield, he has worked with youth to produce several concerts using a wide range of instruments including banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. I have really enjoyed joining Red Bridge and picking with them as often as I can. I have been truly blessed of the Lord and hope that He will use my playing to bless others Red Bridge 4
