5 April 24, 1887 Sunday Mrs. John A. Feick Sandusky Ohio Dearest Wife:; I was looking over all of your letters today that I got while George was here. You asked 1n one about a carpet for the Dining you can use ours if they take a little care of it In another letter I see you have gained two pounds. that indicates you are living heigh & have good times. Every body seems to be fixing up at the Cemetery they way you speak and about you getting ~ grave stone you will have to wait until I get home that will be plenty of time for that, let the other fix just as they have a mind to we can not aford it at present Your trip out here will cost eighty five or ninty dollars and board a week here will cost us fourteen to sixteen dollars so you see we will have to go a little slow in another letter you say Mamie would write to me if I would answer. I will be glad to answer her letter, am not so spitefull as all of that, if I have a good memory. I feel sorry for Mamie if she should be troubled with the same desease as your mother was, there is no one to blame but her self, she should have taken care of herself. Anything I have ever said to Mamie, I ment for her ow good and not to do her any harm. Hov does it come that I don It hear from Ida any more, nor do I hear from ~ folks I willwrite them another letter, and that will be the last until I do hear from them. You can let me know when you want to come to Cheyenne then I will explain to you hov to come and wbat to do. Fred Elis I wife would like to have you stop off at Shelden Neb. to see them, but I think you had better wate until ve go home then we can stay a few days I supose George thinks he had a hard time while he was in Cheyenne and was glad to go back to Sandusky I was so home sick when he left that I cried for two hours after he was gone thinking that I was left here alone again.. Mr. Nagle is coming to talk an arm off of me I supose so I will close Manykisses to you----- '.",.'1' "

7 Cheyenne Wyo. April 25, 1887 Monday Nil!ht Dearest Wife:: I received your letter and papers to night and was very glad to hear from you. If' you think GiS wife is a lier, I think you bit the nail on the head that time. I never knew her to be anything else. 1 never said to G. that I would not stay if you did not come out and never said anything to him in regard to you coming out or 1 going home, he started it and said I should see about board and a room and then when he got home he would have you come out right off. I never made him an answer yes or no and when he left he asked me about it again and I told him you had better Yait a few weeks until the weather was a little more settled. When he was out here he found out how it was here vithout a vile & said he felt sorry for me. Chas & I were working at Nagles house for the last three days ve had an awful snow atorm here last Thursday, the snow was even with the top of our shanty and could not get out untill we had shoveled our Yay out the snow was 15 & 20 feet in some places Inolosed find your fathers letter which I read Having no news I will close hoping you are all well & that I,may see you soon
