You may want to consider enrolling a family member or a couple of friends with whom you have fun in order to get your business started. Get plugged in and stay plugged in Keep in touch with your team leader. Ask him or her about the annual Corporate Event, regional meetings, and local meetings in your area. Plan to attend them all. Stay current by reading corporate blasts, the Empowered Health newsletter and the Empowered Living newsletter. 16 power start e-workbook 16 section two goals Goal Setting Here are few questions to help you get started in defining your goals: If money were no object, how would your life be different? Again, if money were not an issue, what would your dream home look like? (Be specific what style, what color, how would it be decorated, etc.) Where would you live? (Again, be specific. Where have you dreamed of living on an acreage, on a lake, by the ocean, in the mountains, in a particular community, etc.) What kind of vehicle would you drive? (Imagine the color of the interior, the texture of the seats, the bells and whistles the vehicle would have, the size of the engine, the exterior color, etc.) Where would you vacation and how often? What are you truly excited or passionate about? What organization, ministry, charity or individuals would you help if you had the money? What would you like to have or to accomplish within the next week, the next month, and the next one to five years? Remember, goal-setting is very empowering. Achieving your goals is not really the problem; it is the process of setting of those goals that is typically the problem. Did you know that only 3% of the population ever put their goals down on paper, making them 90 times more achievable? That same 3% owns more than the other 97% combined.

17 training center 17 Which percent do you want be a part of? Many people live their lives by chance, never setting goals that will allow them to achieve their dreams. Their dreams remain just that... dreams. Here Are Some Powerful Thoughts About Goal-Setting Make a list of your values. What is really important to you - your relationship with God; your relationship with your family; your leisure time; your hobbies? What does your ideal lifestyle look like? Decide what you value most, and then be sure the goals you have set for your life truly embrace those values. Begin with the end result in mind. Let s say your most important goal is to build a team of 1,000 members. You must first create a very clear image in your mind of what you want your team to look like and be like when it is in place. Second, you must ask yourself how you would need to operate on a day-to-day basis in order to accomplish your objective of 1,000 members. Third, as you begin to build your team, begin to act and operate your business based upon the image and objectives you have clearly defined. Project yourself into the future. The late Earl Nightingale created a new industry in selfimprovement after conducting a 20-year study on what made people successful. The result of his research was simply, We become what we think about. The thoughts that dominate our minds usually shape what we become. Proverbs 23:7 tells us that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. That is why goal-setting is so critical in achieving success. It keeps us focused on what is really important to us. Nightingale found that the easiest way to reach goals was to imagine that they had already been achieved. Begin to walk, talk, dress, and act as though you are already experiencing the success you seek. Write down ten goals you want to accomplish this year. By making a list of the things that are most important to you, you begin to create images in your mind. It has been said that your mind will actually create chaos, if necessary, to make images become reality. A powerful example of this is when we allow the thoughts and images in our mind to be dominated by negative emotions to the point that our mind creates chaos until the very things that we feared most become reality. This should help us realize how important it is to think positive thoughts and create positive images and positive spoken statements. Speak positive thoughts out loud to yourself and others every day, claim them as your reality, and believe them. Create your Dream Map. Place a large poster board on a wall in your home. Position it where you will see it often. Place a picture of yourself and your family in the center of the poster, surrounding it with images, encouraging words, and photos you find in magazines or other sources that represent what you want to acquire or accomplish. This imagery will create your Dream Map. Make a collage of goals that excite and inspire you. As you look at your Dream Map each day, begin to see yourself enjoying these things. If you can dream it, you truly can achieve it! Ask yourself questions. As you consider your goals, rather than wishing they would come true, ask yourself how and what you need to do to make them a reality. Focus on one goal at a time. A major error many people make in goal-setting is trying to work on too many things at one time. 19 training center section three commitment 19 Importance of Commitment A commitment is a declaration that we make first to ourselves and then to the world. It requires that we cross a line within ourselves and, in essence, say, From this point forward, I will no longer tolerate my past behavior or mindset and I will commit to a new set of actions. Many people fail in the network marketing industry because they treat their business like a hobby. They dabble rather than commit. If you work on building your TRÉVO business only when you feel like it, you will soon become another statistic in network marketing. If you desire the skills and habits required for long-term success in this industry, you must consistently practice them. The only way to assure that you will take time for this practice is to schedule it in advance. We strongly recommend that, at the beginning of each week, you write out a daily calendar, meticulously scheduling the hours you will work developing your business. Also specify exactly what activities you will accomplish during those hours. Once your schedule is in place, it is important to stick to it. If something happens and you are not able to stick to your scheduled hours, then re-schedule that lost time. People of influence are definitely at the top of this list. Keep in mind that people of influence know other people of influence. Remember, it is all about the people you know and the people they know and so on and so on. People are usually happy to give referrals and you will always need them. Building a successful TRÉVO business is not about knowing more people than anyone else (although everyone knows at least 250 people) or being a good salesperson. It is not even necessarily about having a lot of confidence in yourself and your abilities to talk to anyone. While those are all great skills to have in any endeavor, they are just that - skills. And skills can be learned. Building a successful TRÉVO business is, however, all about attitude. Possessing a positive, determined attitude will give you the skills you need to become successful. Remember, skills can be learned but having a particular attitude is a decision. Decide to learn the skills necessary to approach anyone you want with the TRÉVO product and opportunity, and you will! Carrying an attitude that exudes enthusiasm, excitement and a passion for life will accelerate your ability to attain and utilize every skill you need to become successful. Take this opportunity to create your TRÉVO Contact List. Having a contact list of individuals with vwhom you can begin sharing the TRÉVO opportunity vand product is crucial. It is simply not enough to know a couple of people or have a few names written down. First, select your prospects by thinking of specific people you know. Make a commitment to share the TRÉVO product and opportunity with them. By committing to this task, you are more likely to follow through. Second, a written list helps you remember who you know! It is amazing how many people we know who we do not readily keep track of in our own address books. Third, by committing to have 250 names on your Contact List, you have just given yourself permission to fail. If you only have ten names written down and five of those people are not interested, you have lost 50% of your prospects. But when you have 250 names written down, if five people are not interested, you still have 245 to go. In other words, if 50% of your prospects do end up telling you no, that means that 125 have told you yes. You will be busy working with new people and your Contact List will continue to grow. Just a reminder, if someone is not interested in the TRÉVO opportunity, be sure to set them up as a Customer. Even better, sign them up for Preferred Customer AutoShip and ask them for referrals to add to your Contact List. Never stop adding names to this list. Use the memory joggers we have provided to assist in recalling the people you know. Do not worry about having their telephone numbers available right now, and do not even worry if you do not know their complete names. Simply write down something like the man who goes to the same salon as I do, or the woman from New York in my aerobics class. That description will work just fine for now. While some people might be warmer prospects than others simply because you know them and they are easier to approach, everyone can become a warm prospect. Remember the law of six degrees. You are only six people away from getting to meet everyone on the planet. That represents tremendous possibilities for increasing your warm market. (Continued)
