3 Lesson 7: Principles and Tools for Manifesting What You Desire Up to this point, we have been doing a lot of clearing around what is in your way and providing the basic tools you need to build a strong foundation within you. Last month we talked about health and wellness. I will be sharing more important information on health and wellness in the future. With all the clearing we have been doing, hopefully you are feeling lighter, have had some nice shifts in the way you deal with things in your life and have been manifesting more of what you desire. I know I have seen some great wins on the Forum and from talking with some of you. Today s lesson is going to help you leap forward by focusing directly on the principles and process of manifestation. And while we are at it, we will clear anything in the way of manifesting what you desire. Definition of Manifesting: You will probably hear as many formulas, philosophies, and tools about manifesting as people that you talk or listen to. As with all processes, I do not believe there is only one way to manifest. The tools will vary, not only based on your personal style and what resonates with you, but also with how you are feeling at any point in time. But generally speaking the principles are the same. First let s define what we mean by manifesting. Merriam-Webster defines manifesting as follows: to make evident or certain by showing or displaying So from that definition you could ask yourself, what is it I want to make evident or to show up in my life? The more I think about this definition the more I like it. Because universal laws say that everything we want is already here, we just have to open the door. So we are not so much bringing it to us as we are allowing it to show itself in our lives. You could say we are raising the curtain on what we desire. Principles of Manifesting: No matter what techniques or tools you use, certain universal laws and principles are at work. Here are seven underlying principles of manifestation: 1) You attract or make manifest that which you focus your attention on and are in alignment with: When people hear this, they often make it mean that they have to watch every single thought they have, which is not even possible. What is important to realize that is your manifestations are based on your dominant thoughts and emotions. If your dominant 2008 Center for Balanced Living, Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Page 3

4 thoughts are lack or low energy thoughts, that is what you will get more of. If your dominant thoughts are abundant or high energy thoughts, that is what you will get more of. Dominant means 51% of the time. So if you doubt yourself or your ability to have what you want consciously or subconsciously, 51% of the time or more, then you will not manifest it until you change those thoughts and feelings. Similarly if you are focused on what is wrong in the world, you are lowering your energy and what shows up will be in alignment with that. 2) Feelings are a direct indication of our energy or mood. Think of your energy (feelings, mood) as a magnet which attracts and pulls in similar energy. If you are pre-dominantly feeling joyful or fearful or sad, you will attract similar energy in your life. On the other hand, if you are feeling sad and saying I feel great at the same time, you are not in alignment. Most likely you will get nothing because the 2 opposing energies will cancel each other out. 3) Whatever we resist, persists. Just because our feelings affect our energy does not mean you should squash your feelings. Because if you do, they will only fester and come up bigger next time. And they are still in your subconscious and still at play anyway. It is important to allow your feelings, no matter what they are. 4) Acceptance is a high vibration emotion. We have talked about acceptance a lot in this program but it bears more discussion here as it is a tough one for people to integrate into their lives. If you are sad, but accept that you are sad rather than resist it, two things will happen. A) Your energy will rise. B) You will move out of the sadness or other negative emotions sooner. The best thing that you can do is accept your feelings, whatever they are. They will flow and change pretty quickly when you able accept these feelings and your current situation for what they are. Note that accepting your feelings is not the same as wallowing in your feelings, having a pity party for yourself or making up stories about how bad your life is. Doing these things will have the lower vibration feelings hang on longer, plus you will feel crummy. The key is to accept your feelings without going into a story about why you have them or what is wrong with your life, etc. 5) When you are uptight, your body is tight things and cannot flow to or through you. It s like putting up a big concrete wall that says Do not enter. Learning to relax will have a positive impact on your manifesting ability. One thing you can do to relax is the One Minute or 5 Minute Meditations found in the Stillness Experiment Center for Balanced Living, Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Page 4

5 6) When you are attached to the outcome, you are also tight and nothing can flow. How do you know if you are attached to the outcome? If you think there is only one way it can happen or it must happen on your timeline, then you are attached. This one is often the most difficult for people to notice and to let go of. Letting go is the most powerful concept to learn and relearn and relearn When we are able to let go, we are coming from a place of trust that the universe is on our side and things will work out perfectly. 7) You cannot go all the way up the vibrational scale, i.e. from depressed to joyful in one step. The good news is you don t have to. When you shift up the vibrational or energetic scale, even one notch, you open the door for things to show up. My formula for Manifestation: Those of you who have been with me have heard this formula before but again it bears repeating. I will go into it in more detail below. V1 + V2 = S4 (S to the 4 th power) High Vibration plus High Visibility = Success Quadrupled Here are some real life examples of these principles at play: Note: These examples are based on experiences of a client of mine. The name has been changed to protect his anonymity. While I could easily provide examples from other clients, I want you to see how things change daily in our lives and continuously affect what we allow to show up in our life and what we don t and that manifesting is an ongoing process. Example 1: Letting go of resistance We will call this client, Daniel. Daniel had created some new systems with his online business including automating his telephone systems to streamline things a bit more and use his time more efficiently. But for some reason the calls from customers weren t coming in. He started worrying that something was wrong with the new system. Daniel and I discussed this and he remembered that he had tested it and everything was working perfectly. He shifted his energy when a couple of things happened. 1) He came to the realization that everything was fine with both his website and systems; i.e., he let go of resistance and his thoughts that something must be wrong. 2) Then he starting focusing on what he wanted in terms of business. (he shifted his dominant thoughts and feelings). Five minutes after he and I hung up the phone he got a call and did a new business transaction. Then 5 more calls came in very quickly. 6 had more business than he could currently handle by himself. Now Daniel and I are talking about getting the support he needs to handle more business (something he had resisted up to this point) It is important to note in this situation that Daniel already had high visibility with his website. So when he let go of the resistance, those people who were already lining up to see his website were able to show themselves. Example 2: Quick manifesting without attachment In another situation, Daniel, just casually said to himself, wouldn't it be nice to have a truck to take care of a particular situation. Daniel is in the business of buying and selling used cars online. He never gets trucks. But of course, one now showed up for him We have all had those quick manifestations from time to time. It is important to understand why it worked so well so you can duplicate it. Note the lightness, with which he made the statement: wouldn t it be nice There is no tightness or attachment in the statement, just a pure thought with no conflicting thoughts or emotions. Example 3: Letting go On another day, Daniel was in a dark place of woe is me. He had a big problem and had no idea how to fix it. One of the things that is so admirable about Daniel, is he rarely stays in that place of woe is me very long. He let go of that in one minute and then focused on what is possible. He got some ideas and took action but low and behold nothing was working. So after trying all afternoon, he LET GO and said to himself I know I will figure this out. The next day, the answer to his problem showed up for him in a way he could not have imagined. That is the power of being in possibility AND letting go. Example 4: Pushing it away After all this success, Daniel got really busy working on more systems. He thought to himself that he really did not want any more business to come in because he was going on vacation and did not have anyone in place to handle the business while he was gone and he didn t want to work on vacation. (This is something he and I continue to work on) The systems he was working on started breaking and vendors were proving themselves unreliable, triggering an old belief and causing his energy to plummet. The next time I talked to Daniel, he was complaining that he hadn t had any calls for business over the past 2 weeks. Can you see how Daniel created the slowdown in his business? First by subconsciously pushing it away (I don t want any more business because I am going on vacation) and then by lowering his energy over tasks that went awry which just caused more things to go awry. Daniel actually didn t want to buy any cars before he went on vacation and he manifested exactly what he wanted Center for Balanced Living, Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Page 6

7 I, too, have pushed business away energetically at different times in my life. There are 2 things to learn from that. 1) To let it be okay if you don t want any business at a particular time perhaps you need to re-charge 2) to have systems and people in place to handle the business so that you are in alignment with the business coming in. Otherwise, you will be sending out conflicting messages and get nothing. Tools for Manifesting: Now that I have laid out the principles for you along with some examples, let s get down to the nitty-gritty. Here are some tools you can use to manifest more of what you desire in your own life. The first thing to ask your self is: Is my consciousness around wealth more of a lack or a prosperity consciousness? If you struggle around having enough wealth (or anything else) in your life, it is a lack consciousness. And if you have enough to live and sustain yourself but have not been able to generate more, than there is still some lack consciousness or resistance there. Step 1: Align with prosperity consciousness The first step is to begin to align with a prosperity consciousness. We are going to do this using EFT State the following while tapping on the side of your hand below your pinky where your karate chop point is: Even though I don t know where wealth, success is coming from, I totally and completely love and accept myself, even though I don t know when it is coming, I totally and completely love and accept myself, even though some hidden part of me resists it, I totally and completely love and accept myself Repeat these 2 words: wealth success while tapping on each of your 5 fingers, tap on the side of the fingernail bed on each finger Wealth success, wealth success, wealth success, wealth success, wealth success, wealth success. Notice thoughts and body sensations as your tap. Continue to tap until you feel a shift (a shift may take the form of a sigh, a yawn, feeling more relaxed or a change in thoughts or similar) If tapping on these words brings up big resistant thoughts, you may also choose to clear them with ZPoint or EFT as outlined in previous lessons. 8 Step 2: Select one thing that you desire and focus on it in a quiet meditative place What do you desire? Maybe it s a certain amount of clients or a certain amount of money or perfect health. But pick one thing you want and focus on it for 30 days. So if you want new clients and new product sales, etc, then you may just want to focus on the $ amount you want and allow the universe to determine the highest and best way for it t show up that is in alignment for you. If you confuse the mind with too many things, you will not get as good of results. And if you place a limit on how it is to come in, then it is easy to get attached, plus you may not see other opportunities as they arise. Give your mind a single big picture on which to focus and give it new thoughts about that picture until they become the dominant thought. That is why I strongly suggest you focus on one thing for 30 days Choose the thing you desire (must feel attainable for you not a quantum leap) Now ask yourself, Do I have any doubts about my ability to get this in the next 30 days. You can use EFT to clear doubts. Here is a script you can use. Feel free to tweak it in a way that resonates for you. Tap on the side of your hand. Even though, I don t know where is coming from or how or when, I totally and completely love and accept myself. Even though, I don t know where is coming from or how or when, I totally and completely love and accept myself. Even though, I don t know where is coming from or how or when, I totally and completely love and accept myself. Tap on your 5 fingers or all EFT points (saying one statement for each point) I doubt I can have this, I am afraid this won t happen, I don t deserve this, I don t believe I can have it. I doubt its arrival and I want it now, I know what is best for me and I want it now (add in your own doubts and fears) Then tap on the following positive statements (feel free to add your own) I choose to remain open and know that everything is possible. I choose to be at peace and trust that all good things are coming to me in the perfect way for me. I am open, I am open, I am open I am opening up to all that is possible repeat until you feel a shift sigh, etc 2008 Center for Balanced Living, Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Page 8

9 If you still do not believe it is possible, keep tapping. If after several rounds you do not believe it is possible, then pick an interim step toward your goal and work with that. So if you want $1000 this month and don t believe you can manifest it easily, pick a smaller goal that feels doable and makes you smile. Think of it as an interim step towards your big goal, rather than as giving up or settling for less. Then repeat the above process. After clearing the doubt, I recommend going into a connected or meditative state. From this place you are more connected to source at a very high vibration. For purpose of this exercise, we will do the One Minute Meditation and I will use $6000/month as a goal. You will want to substitute your desire for the $6000. First get quiet by doing the One Minute Meditation or a meditation of your choosing You can find the recording for this at I will also write the instructions here: Close your eyes and imagine a dot to the right and a dot to the left. Move your eyes to the dot at the right, then to the dot at the left, go to the dot at the right, then the dot at the left, do this about 4 or 5 more times. Then take a deep breath. Now observe your breath for a count of 3 breaths. Now name that item which you desire 3 times - $6000, $6000, $6000, Then observe your breath for 3 5 counts and then say, the thing which you desire 3 10 times, then observe your breath for 3 5 counts, now add some positive emotion when you say what you desire, Yay $6000, woohoo, $6000, $6000, repeat getting connected by focusing on your breath and then stating what you desire from a place of joy. Alternate between observing your breath and stating what you desire from a place of joy as if you already have it - Do this for about 5-10 minutes. When complete, you will find that you naturally have a smile on your face. Some people are more visual than others. If this is you, it will help to visualize yourself having attained what you desire. You can bring this into your meditation while you are affirming what you desire from a positive place or after the affirmations. Visualize it in a way that brings you joy, it might be money raining down on you, the phone ringing with person after person who wants to do business with you, seeing yourself looking great in an outfit at your ideal size, seeing yourself running and jumping full of health and vitality, etc. It is important that whatever you visualize, it brings a smile to your face and a feeling of positive emotion Center for Balanced Living, Inc. - All Rights Reserved. 10 Step 3: Detach: Let go and go about your day and notice what you are inspired to do. If during the day, you find yourself focused on where is it? Or it isn t here yet, it is important to detach as those very thoughts are tightening you up and having you focusing on what you don t want that it isn t here yet. You can use this EFT script to help with this: Tap on the side of your hand: Even though it isn t here yet, I totally and completely love and accept myself, even though I don t know when it is coming and I want it now, I totally and completely love and accept myself, even though I still doubt whether it is really coming, I totally and completely love and accept myself. Tap on your fingers, I am open to how it shows up and I choose to be happy regardless of if and when it shows up, my happiness is not dependent on this manifestation, I choose to be happy now. Continue to tap, until you feel a shift. If you still feel attached, go do something else that will take your mind completely off of this something fun, or relaxing that will shift your energy. Taking a walk or some other kind of body movement is a good thing to do. NOTE: If you NEED it to pay your bills, get another source of income while waiting for this one to arrive. Let go of your pride and your attachment of how it has to or needs to be for you to be okay. It s all okay. Step 4: Be Visible How are you inspired to be visible? On the internet? On a speaking platform? In writing? Talking to people one on one? Remember: V1 + V2 = S4 You may already be visible, like our friend Daniel. In that case, then all you need to do is shift your energy using the tools above. Or perhaps, you would like to become more visible. Be open and curious about how to increase your visibility in a way that works for you. Listen to the inner guidance and nudges you receive about this. Step 5: Be Ready to Receive Are you ready to have what you have been asking for? Do you have time and/or energy to handle new business? 11 If you feel any anxiety about the business actually coming in, then it will be helpful to make the space to allow it in. What, if anything, do you need to change, that will lessen the anxiety. If the anxiety is about your own confidence to handle the business, go back to Lesson 5 (links to all lessons are below) and continue to tap on that sequence and other thoughts that will build your confidence. You may also want to start with smaller steps that feel doable and build your confidence that way. Acknowledge yourself for every step you take. Step 6: Intentions for the Today and Segment Intending Now that you got clear and what you want to manifest for the month and you have set the wheels in motion, let s bring it down to your daily activities. What do you want to accomplish today? Perhaps something to increase your visibility? Or to expand your capacity? Or to help you reach your health goal? Examples: write an article, talk to someone about search engine optimization, have a great conversation with a prospect who makes a decision to buy, hire a virtual or part time assistant to help with the administrative tasks so you have more time to do what you love, eat healthy, exercise, etc My specific intentions for today are: (limit to 3-6 priorities for the day) After writing down your specific intentions, focus on each one of them one at a time and intend to complete it easily and quickly. Step 7: Have fun. Do the things throughout out the day that bring you joy at work and at home. This does not mean sit on the couch and eat bon bons. Keep in mind the big picture that will bring you joy as well. For example, I love creating new things, and coaching clients. Those are things that bring me joy. I also enjoy taking walks and laughing and playing piano and singing with my husband in a way that makes us laugh. It is important to bring those things into my day as well Center for Balanced Living, Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Page 11

12 Step 8: Delegate to Raise Energy and Expand Your Capacity What is the joy factor in your day? Make it a continuous goal to keep the joy factor high. If it is not fun and you can t align with it, you may want to delegate it, systematize it or dump it. What to you want to delegate to others today? What do you want to delegate to the universe? Write them down. Step 9: Eliminate negative self talk How do you talk about money, yourself, your body, others? How often do you say I can t afford it or complain about gas prices or criticize yourself? Eliminate all negative talk about your finances and about yourself. When you talk or think negatively you are only perpetuating what is. Step 10: End of day completion a) At end of your day, it is important to re-focus on all the good things that happened that you can be grateful for, no matter how small. Start looking for the wins, celebrating them and acknowledging them. They are a sign you are on the right track, even if it is as small as finding a penny on the ground. You also want to affirm all the good things that will happen as if they had already happened. For example, I created a new class and I intended to manifest at least 55 students. I gave thanks for those 55 students when I had only 30 students enrolled. By the day of the class, I had 64 students a bonus Of course, I took inspired action in alignment with that intention as well. b) Affirm your wealth and success as you go to sleep at night. Simple repeat wealth success over and over again in your mind as you drift off to sleep Center for Balanced Living, Inc. - All Rights Reserved. Page 12

13 This Month s Assignment 1) Begin the process of aligning with a prosperity consciousness by tapping on wealth, success 2) Decide what you want to manifest on over the next 30 days pick something that feels doable 3) Clear the channel of any self doubts you have about manifesting that on a daily basis for 30 days using EFT or ZPoint. Then combine the One Minute Meditation with focusing on what you desire from a positive place for 5-10 minutes each morning for 30 days 4) Detach from the goal and go about your day setting specific intentions daily 5) Get visible in a way that raises your energy 6) Make space for the good to come delegate, automate, and dump that which is not in alignment with you and your gifts 7) Express gratitude daily for what is as well as what is to come as if it is already here 8) Have FUN :) 9) Eliminate negative talk and thoughts 10) Post your wins on the Forum Coming Up Next...
