2 MINDSET WORKBOOK I ve come to realise that it s what s going on inside my mind that determines how much progress and success I create, not the ideas, skill and talent. Because what s going on inside my mind determines whether I hold myself back or not, whether I get on and do the things I need to do, whether I get focused or faff around. It s all on me and it s all on you too. We re the only ones who can show up for our dreams and turn them into reality and so we need to be able to move past the resistance that rises up, so that we can make it happen. I always find that when I set myself new goals and come up with new ideas I get really excited and then that excitement is often followed by feelings of frustration, confusion and despair!! When we re trying to do things we ve never done, rise up and reach a new level or we re at the beginning of working on a new goal, it often feels like there s a mountain to climb. So we have to have the mental stamina to get ourselves to the top. We have to exercise our mind muscles every day and make them stronger and stronger at moving past the negativity, doubts, fears and worries, so that we can keep going. So in my quest to do this, I ve created my bag of mindset magic tricks, to help me keep going. So in this workbook I want you to create your own bag of tricks! CREATING YOUR BAG OF MAGIC MINDSET TRICKS There are so many different exercises we can use to help keep us on track mentally and emotionally, ultimately you have to focus on doing things which resonate with you. I talk a lot about this in the book and how you can create your own Success Mission and give examples of lots of exercises you can do. Ultimately, the aim is to do things which make you feel unstoppable, things which help you to move away from the negativity, doubts and worries and stay positive. Things which help you to feel how you want to feel, rather than how you don t want to feel. You need to do whatever it takes to train your mind and body to feel feelings of success, abundance and joy. You need to get intentional about creating it in your life. Here are some of the things in my bag of tricks: 2

3 Visualisation: I m constantly writing down and visualising what I want to achieve. I have a vision board, a goal box, a dream jar, a goal folder I literally have my goals everywhere!! They re all over my home. Once I write them all down, I visualise making them happen. It could be just standing in front of my vision board for 5 minutes visualising achieving the things on it. Or it could be picking out a dream from my dream jar and visualising it. I also create guided visualisations for myself too, which I listen to. Throughout these visualisations I give myself time to create a movie in my mind, where I vividly visualise achieving my goal. I see it happening and feel it happening. I basically do all I can to immerse myself in my dreams and goals, so that I intentionally make them part of my reality, right now. What could you do to bring your dreams and goals more into your reality right now? HAVE YOU GOT A VISION BOARD? HAVE YOU CREATED A GOAL BOX? HAVE YOU CREATED YOUR OWN GUIDED VISUALISATION? Here s how to make your own visualisation: In order to create your visualisation all you need to do is: Go somewhere quiet, where you can relax. Using your laptop or phone record yourself saying the script below - take your time and allow yourself to really relax as you say the words. Once you ve recorded it you have a couple of choices: Edit the recording by adding in relaxing music and then upload to your ipod/phone (or wherever you re going to listen to it). You can get royalty-free music from AudioJungle.net Just upload the recording as it is and listen to it. 3

4 Are you ready to create your visualisation? If so, have a read through the script below and edit it however you want. Once you ve done that, sit somewhere quiet and record it. Once you have a recording that you re happy with, get listening to it daily! The Script Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply, relaxing your body and mind. Shift your focus to your breath. Breathe in slowly through your nose. Hold it. And breath out through your mouth, releasing and tension that you feel. Relaxation in, tension out. Relaxation in, tension out. As you continue to breath deeply, you feel more and more relaxed and any tension you feel fades away. I am now going to begin with positive suggestions that will be communicated and accepted on every level of your body and mind. [insert your positive suggestions - could be for success, happiness, abundance - whatever you want to focus on] For example: I am financially abundant, money comes to me easily and quickly. I am grateful and happy for all that I receive. I am successful, I feel successful. Unexpected doors fly open, unexpected channels are free, and endless avalanches of abundance, success and happiness are poured out upon me, under grace in perfect ways. I have all the money I need to do the things I want to do. [write out about 10 suggestions to read out] Now I want you to create a movie in your mind. Picture being [insert what you want to envision] what can you see? What do you feel? What are you wearing? What are you doing? Create a clear picture. I m going to go quiet now and let you create the movie. PAUSE FOR ABOUT A MINUTE TO ALLOW YOURSELF TO PICTURE THIS 4

5 Script continued... You ve just seen your own reality and so it is. And now I want you to repeat this message either in your head or out aloud imagine it echoing out across the universe and coming back to you. WRITE OUT AN EMPOWERING STATEMENT, WHICH ENCAPSULATES WHAT YOU WANT TO BRING INTO YOUR LIFE. For example: I am successful. My dreams and goals are a done deal, they re on their way to me now. I am grateful and happy for receiving them. [Say this ten times] You ve now programmed this suggestion on every level of your being and now it becomes your reality. Upon awakening you will remember all that has been communicated. You ll feel refreshed and awake, feeling happy. On the count of five open your eyes. 1, become aware of your hands and arms, 2, coming on up feeling refreshed, 3 feeling balanced, 4 feeling awake, and 5 open your eyes. Mental Check-in I like to check-in with what s going on in my mind frequently - to make sure the negative committee haven t taken over! I just take time to think about what I ve been focusing on and if I ve been thinking negatively, I ll reframe and shift my focus to something that makes me feel good. I m constantly pulling myself away from negative thoughts and shifting my focus to positive ones! 5

6 Affirmations and Words I also have my favourite affirmations and words all around my home - on my vision board and on my walls: What are you favourite affirmations and words? What do you want to bring into your life more? Think about it and write out your own affirmations and words to stick around your home - immersing your mind consciously and subconsciously in what you want. So what exercises will you use to condition yourself for success? 6

7 CREATING YOUR DAILY SUCCESS ROUTINE When you start to follow a routine for success, success will follow, so create yours now! DAILY SUCCESS ROUTINE Morning Visualisation Spend at least 5-10 minutes vividly visualising that it s the end of the year and you have achieved all you want. Have fun with this, get lost in your imagination, experience having what you want. Work your mind muscles to help you create a wonderful reality for yourself. Use the guided visualisation to help with this. Get Focused Spend at least 5-10 minutes getting clear about your day ahead. What are your top goals for the day? What do you want to accomplish today? What tasks do you need to complete and at what time? Create your direction for the day. Personal Development Spend at least 5-10 minutes today on personal development and learning more about success. Whether it s going on YouTube and watching an inspiring video, listening to a podcast, reading a blog post, reading a chapter of a book just take time to learn and to grow on a personal level. Take Action Discipline yourself to do what you need to do today. To help you with this, set a reminder in your phone to go over every hour or at points throughout the day to remind you to check in with yourself. Take a moment and think about how your day is going, what you ve been focusing on and adjust accordingly. Have Fun Every day, take a moment to get intentional about how you re going to have fun and feel good. Having fun and feeling good is transformational, so make it a part of every single day. What will you do today to have some fun? 7

8 Exercise Get your body moving, it will help you get back in the flow. Even if you just stand up and dance around for 5 minutes do it. Move your body and get your heart pumping! Quiet Time Spend at least 5-10 minutes having some quiet time. Go outside or in a quiet space, focus on your breath. Breathe in deeply, relax. Be in the moment. Pay attention to your hear beating, notice how your hands and fingers feel - tune in with yourself. Are you feeling good? If not, what could you do to feel good? Be Grateful Think of 3 things you re most grateful for today and really feel the gratitude spread throughout your body. Be thankful for the wonderful things that happen in your day - whether it s just that you re here, breathing and living. When you focus on what you re truly grateful for, you will welcome more into your life. 8 simple things that will have a transformational effect on your life. When we get so intentional about manifesting more success and happiness into our lives and business, we thrive. Making it happen will not occur by accident. It will happen very much on purpose. It s up to you to do it and you can do it. You can achieve so much. So set off on a mission to condition yourself for success, to expand your thinking, to rise up - what would be possible if you did this? What could you achieve if you could blast through your fears? What could you make happen if you immersed yourself in becoming the most successful person you know? Amazing things, that s what! So go for it! 8
