8 Types of Nouns Proper noun: Name of a particular person, animal or thing is called a proper noun. They begin with capital letters. Ex: London, Rizwan, Monday, Charminar EXERCISE 1. Countable noun: Anything that can be counted, whether singular or plural is a countable noun. Countable nouns are individual people, animals, places, things, or ideas which can be counted.
