1 2019 Trumbull County Junior Fair King and Queen Rules and Application Junior Fair King and Queen is sponsored by the Trumbull County Junior Fair Board. In order to apply, an applicant must complete an application and an interview, where questions are asked based on participation, leadership, and achievements in the Junior Fair area as well as in the community. Interviews will be held (June 2, 2019) starting at (4-6pm ) in the meeting room of the Fair Office Gate C 889 Everett Hull Road, Cortland Ohio. Contact Leeoria Willis at (330) Eligible junior fair participants are those who have been involved in the Trumbull County Youth organization for at least one (1) year. 2. Participants must be between the ages of at the application due date. 3. Participants must never have been married or conceived/fathered a child. 4. Previous Trumbull County Kings and Queens are not eligible. Princesses or other royalty that have competed in the Ohio Fairs Queens Contest are not eligible either. 5. Please mail your application and headshot by POSTMARKED (May 1st, 2019) to Leeoria Willis at 1054 Bristol Champion Townline Road NW Warren, Ohio You will be contacted to schedule your interview time. Interviews will be (June 2, 2019) starting at (4-6pm) at the Fair Office. 6. Participants should dress for interviews as if they were attending a professional job interview. Jeans, t-shirts, hats, etc will not be permitted. Suggestions are pencil skirts, dresses, and pantsuits for the girls and slacks, dress suits, and ties for the boys. 7. Prizes for this event will be as follows: King and Queen $ check and Prince and Princess $50.00 check. Sashes and crowns will also be presented. 8. The Queen will represent the Trumbull County Fair at the Ohio Fairs Queen Contest held during the Ohio Fair Managers Conference in January If the Queen cannot participate the Princess will go in her place. Upon receiving the Ohio Fairs Queen Contest application from the Royalty Coordinator the Queen will have 30 days to return it. If she fails to do so the Princess will have the opportunity to go. 9. The King, Queen, Princess, and Prince will be required to attend various events and make appearances at shows throughout fair week. Distribution of checks is contingent on the royalty s proper representation during the week of fair. If the King and Queen committee feel that the royalty did not attend enough events the committee has the right to withhold the check(s). 10. Failure to comply with any of the rules will result in the removal from the contest or loss of your title. Disputes will be handled by the Junior Fair Board King and Queen Committee Liaison committee and the Junior Fair Board Coordinator. Their decisions are final. 11. After the judges interview they will select the Top 5 females and the Top 5 males to participate in the Trumbull County Junior Fair Royalty Contest. Those 10 contestants will then answer a fishbowl question on stage. After the judges deliberate the Queen, Princess, King, and Prince will be chosen.
