1 ACE VENTURA ROUTE INSTRUCTIONS GROUPS R and X September 8, Please read the General Rules and Regulations carefully. Ask a rally worker for clarification if necessary. Drive safely and legally at all times. Watch for ALL types of road hazards. Heed ALL posted road signs. Be extremely mindful of unpredictable local traffic at all times. If you smoke, use your ashtray. Please don t litter. Please watch carefully for wild animals, especially around dusk. Watch for range cattle. Be very careful of children, animals and slow farm vehicles near isolated rural homes. Please be aware of traffic behind you. Different classes run slightly different courses and may have to run at different speeds. It is a rule of ITN rally etiquette to let cars needing to run faster get past you at the first safe opportunity. Please remember this is not a question of who has the better car or who is the better driver. Furthermore, documented instances of deliberate blocking will receive a MAX penalty for that leg. At Checkpoints, please get COMPLETELY out of the traffic lane when creeping. Last car in line MUST run their emergency flashers. Be sure to check your mirrors when pulling out to cross the hose. At Standoffs, you MUST park far enough OFF the road so that your door, when opened, will not extend into the traffic lane. Unless otherwise stated, if there is one Standoff at a location, then 4.00 minutes have already been included in the leg time for you to sign in at Standoff and be given your information. For each additional Standoff at the same location, another 2.00 minutes is added. All numbered state highways (i.e., CA SR 118, 23, 150, etc.) are SAFE for this rally. It is less than 70 miles to the first break. Allow 15 minutes from registration to start traveling via the 23 freeway and Tierra Rejada. There will be a required entrants meeting at 10:45 am at the start location. ADDENDA TO GENERALS: 1.B.2. You may not pass through any Rally Control (Standoff, Checkpoint, or Course Control) more than once on this event. 500 point penalty if you enter a Rally Control more than once. 2. All Controls are now open. 3. All Passage Controls are within 0.5 miles of the Inmarker unless otherwise stated.

You may not leave this location until 11:00 am plus your car number in whole minutes. Located on Sunset Valley Rd. or Read Rd. If on Sunset Valley Rd., enter heading south. If on Read Rd., enter heading away from its intersection with Sunset Valley Rd. You may leave in any direction. These two roads are shown, but not named on Map 1.
