Recreation Vaughan Ball Hockey Camp Work out the kinks in your game in time for hockey season! This riding ranch boasts a large indoor arena, an outdoor arena, shelter, fields, wellkept stables and experienced staff. Daily riding instruction and supervision is provided for approximately 1 hour by experienced and well-trained stable staff and is complemented by a 30-minute 'horse activity,' including relays, grooming competitions, related games and stable management. Other camp activities include crafts, sports and special events. A horse show occurs the second Thursday of each session. Ratio 1:8 Note: Gloves and boots with a one inch heel are required (rain boots are acceptable). A helmet is provided at the site for each camper. Camper groups are based upon riding skills first, request and age similarity second. Campers are given an opportunity to learn English riding. 3 New Golf Camp It's tee time at Uplands Golf Club! Young golfers are introduced to game terminology, rules, etiquette and technique at Vaughan's scenic (and award winning!) nine-hole golf course. Through a comprehensive daily instruction plan developed by certified PGA of Canada Instructors, and oncourse supervision, campers learn basic swing knowledge -grip, stance, putting - in an energetic and fun atmosphere. Mornings are spent on short and long game lessons, with active movement and speed enhancing games and drills. Throughout the week, campers practice what they learn by playing golf under the guidance of trained camp counsellors, as well as enjoy nature hikes through the valley and creative arts activities. Ratio 1:10 Note: 1. Equipment requirements: All participants must have a putter, wedge, 1 iron, 1 wood and 1 driver. Rental equipment is available at a cost of $25/session. Golf balls and tees are included. 2. Dress code: short sleeved t-shirts or polo shirts, running shoes. 3. Lunch is not included. Campers may purchase lunch at the Club House. 4. Camp runs rain or shine, with inclement weather activities occurring in the Club House. 5. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and skill development.
