Being outdoors is often free or very cheap for families and camp is a place to learn about nature. We will have a nature hike, shuttles to Camp Azalea Trails (or you can go on your own) and plenty of wide open spaces to enjoy a picnic lunch (you bring or purchase at Skyland Ranch). It is a great opportunity to meet our summer staff. Patch sold on-site for $5 while supplies last. New opportunities are available for more participants to enjoy the beauty and adventure at Skyland Ranch! GSSGC is excited to announce the start of Environmental Education Programs at Skyland Ranch. Bring your troop or class to the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains for an overnight outdoor adventure or for a day of discovery. We have programs that span from one to five days and can be tailored to your needs. You select your preferred program topics to create a customized class or troop trip. Programming starts at $13 per child and can fit most budgets. Minimum group size is 16. Field Trips (day programs) starting now; Overnight trips starting in February. To give the gift of camp to someone in need call our offices, go online, or mail a check or cookie/nutty dough card with a note stating purpose. All donations are tax deductible. 3 REGISTRATION OPEN NOW! Both our camps, Camp Azalea Trails and Camp Skyland Ranch, are located in the San Jacinto Mountains between Idyllwild & Banning and are owned and operated by Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council. Each camp has its unique experience. Azalea Trails is a 12-acre camp located at an elevation of over 6,400 feet. Creating a fantastic escape from the heat of the valley. The camp is surrounded by beautiful canyons, a tranquil stream and hundreds of pine trees providing the perfect outdoor resident camp setting. Skyland Ranch is located at an elevation of 5000 feet overlooking the Morongo Valley. The sprawling camp setting in this chaparral environment allows many open spaces for campers to find themselves and connect with nature. For over 75 years, thousands of girls have experienced the magic that is camp at Camp Azalea Trails and. Camp is open to all school-aged girls. Camp is designed to give every girl the chance to succeed, build friendships, challenge herself, build leadership skills and have fun. Highlights of the camp programs include: archery, arts and crafts, outdoor education, camp skills, fencing, games, drama, outdoor recreation, STEM, campfires, fun and more! Cost is $125 per participant (girl or adult); discount if you bring 5 girls. Girls can come on their own as a volunteer ($50) or as an individual participant ($175). Volunteers are welcome. Cost Includes: all program materials & activities, patch, 5 meals (starting with dinner), snack and lodging. Our council has opportunities for girls to travel with others that you know or you can travel with GSUSA.
