2 Foreword Tina Cassia Habillat Too often, Lebanon occupies the center stage of news with stories about violent events, regional turmoil full of attacks, explosions, unrest and reports of instability and heartache. Too often Lebanon s image is of a country ravaged by fundamentalism and war. Yet Lebanon is quite another thing. It still has the elements of a civil society and an incredible resilience to hardships, with people who invent every day ways to live with joy and generosity. They are entrepreneurs and craftsmen, passing down among generations the secrets and techniques of blown glass, etched copper, weaving, or soap making and aspiring to stay in their villages and lands.

3 Mission & Ask L Artista Foundation s Mission is to support, promote, fund artistic and artisanal work Our first project intends to support artisans in cooperation with L Artisan du Liban so they can continue to live through their work and perpetuate their skills while renewing the bonds that tie them to their heritage. Ask: Insure sustainability of the artisans of Lebanon through fund raising, product promotion by a network of friends, supporters, coworkers, volunteers, driving traffic to on-line shopping, event planning that showcase artisan products as giveaways or special event gifts.

5 About L Artisan du Liban L Artisan du Liban is an SARL company, established in Paris in December 1999, whose purpose is to promote the craft of Lebanese artisans, and help them remain in their towns, villages, cities. Initiated by an NGO in Lebanon, the Mouvement Social, L Artisan du Liban is committed to marketing products created by the designer Maya Eid, whose goal is to create new products and adapt them to the traditional expertise of craftsmen. The products are exhibited in Paris at the store L Artisan du Liban 30, rue de Varenne and distributed in France and in Europe, through with twice a year exhibits at the "Maison & Objet.

8 L Artista Foundation Founded December 4, 2013 by Camille Kokozaki and Tina Cassia Habillat Non-Profit California registration on 12/11/13 EIN Mission is to support, promote, fund artistic and artisanal work Currently forming the board of directors, management structure, legal and financial organization and building the web presence The First project will be Project PALM, Sweet Dreams Experiment in support of L Artisan du Liban efforts Intent is to file for 501 (c3) classification

9 Current Goal Raise donations in support of L Artisan du Liban Create awareness of products Drive traffic to the existing shopping website Hold special events and promotions Set up a Gofundme or Crowdtilt fund raising portal Create a nucleus of volunteers Geographically distributed Engaged in fundraising and promotion of web sales

12 Phase II: Go Big Go after large orders for corporate events and industry craft shows Increase sponsorship and create event calendar Create a subscription donation model Annual subscription, with levels of donations setting equivalent gift size Can also be done in Phase 1 Have a blog and attend key craft events Film a documentary on the Artisans and on THIS effort

13 Phase III: Go Wild Secure Media coverage in local TV stations Participate in a national event like book signing or concert Formalize Meet-Up chapters and local champions. Hold a raffle with all who provided donations. Significant prizes such as a car, high-end electronics

14 Phase IV: Go Crazy Go after major news coverage with known segments (NPR, TV shows) Work with NGOs, and national institutions Hold a Gala benefit event in San Francisco
