3 SHELLAC FILLER STICKS used to repair small holes, cracks and scratches in wood prior to French Polishing, Lacquering or Varnishing. Commonly used in the restoring of antiques. You will need to run the Shellac Filler Stick with a hot iron. Allow to harden and carefully remove excess with a sharp knife or razor blade. Repeat if required. Finally wash the Wood with Liberon Wax & Polish Remover, and remove the excess with a clean Cotton Cloth. Then, when completely dry, sand with Fine Abrasive Paper. Approx. 4 PALETTE WOOD DYES a Water-based Dye blended with Acrylic Resin for colouring Bare Wood. The Acrylic element, minimises the grain raising, allowing an even spread of colour on the softest of Woods. Apply 1-2 coats,depending on the depth of colour required; cover the whole area in one go, to avoid overlap marks, using a Foam Applicator Brush or Sponge. After a minute immediately wipe off any excess Dye with a clean, dry Lint-free Cotton Cloth. Allow to dry thoroughly, then sand with a Fine Abrasive Paper. Finally apply a protective coat of Wax or Varnish. All shades EN71 Safe For Toys Approx. Coverage 1L = 8-16 m² SPECIAL EFFECTS WAX a multi-purpose Coloured Wax. Work into Mouldings, Bronzes, Paper Machè, Plaster, Picture Frames, Alabaster and Carvings. Apply as a Wax Finish to Bare or Coloured Wood. Buff with a clean, dry, Lint Free Cotton Cloth, until the desired effect is achieved. Start by opening the soft grain of the Wood by brushing the surface using a Liming Bronze Hand Brush, working with the grain. Remove the surface dust with a Tack Cloth. Colour apply colour to the wood using Palette Wood Dyes, or use the Woods Natural Colour. Once the Wood is completely dry and clean, apply the Liming Wax with a pad of Extra Fine Steel Wool (0000). Apply the Wax liberally in a circular motion, until it fills the grain, covering the whole piece of wood. Allow to dry for 3 minutes. For a Water-resistant Finish, remove the excess with Finishing Oil. Apply with a Cotton Cloth and wipe off immediately. Leave to dry for at least 5 hours between coats. Several coats may be needed.if a Water- resistant finish is Not required, apply Liberon Black Bison Fine Wax (Neutral) with a Clean Cotton Cloth Liming Wax 250ml Liming Wax 500ml BLACK PATINATING WAX for adding Black Jet coloured finish or to highlight areas on finished pieces such as into, Carvings or Grain. For a quick ageing effect, apply Wax using Extra Fine Steel Wool (0000) directly onto Bare Wood or onto Wood previously coloured with Palette Wood Dyes Black Patinating Wax 250ml VAN DYCK CRYSTALS are a traditional, and natural Water based Wood Dye made from Walnut Husks. Used to colour Oak and Walnut. Dissolve the Crystals in hot water, it is recommended to test the colour on a spare piece of wood. To darken, add more Van Dyck Crystals; and lighten by adding water. It can be used to decorate Walls, Furniture, Frames, Vases etc. For a silky smooth finish prepare your object with several layers of Gesso. Apply the Leaf using a Gilders Tip, over the surface of tacky Gold Size, smooth down with a Soft Mop Brush. Measurement 80mm x 80mm AGATE BURNISHERS AGATE BURNISHERS used to create the bright Mirror-finish on Gilded surfaces. Make sure that the Gilded area is completely dry before rubbing, other wise the Agate Burnisher will rip the surface instead of polishing. By gently rubbing the Agate Burnisher over the gilded area, you will enhance the gloss. Leave to dry for 15 to 20 minutes. While the Size is slightly sticky carefully place the Metal Leaf over the top. After the whole area is covered, gently tamp the leaf down using a soft brush or cloth. Leave to dry for 24 hours, then a protective coat of shellac can be applied.
