5 Rise of ASEAN_ Rapid economic growth & rise of a vibrant middle class are fuelling opportunities in ASEAN, but deepening integration is also important. Growth Potential of ASEAN 1999 to 2012, ASEAN grew by annual average of 5.5%, doubling in size in 13 years. Despite current headwinds, SEA is expected to grow at a similar pace for the foreseeable future. ASEAN Economic Integration ASEAN Economic Community a region with free movement of goods, services, investment, skilled labour & freer flow of capital.
