10 Subcommittee on Oil Well Cements (SC-10) Wednesday January 22, 2014: General Meeting Publication of API RP 10B-2 Testing Well Cements Publication of RP 10B-2, 2 nd Edition April Logged comments under review with discussion and possible resolution after Special Work Session on Thursday, January 23 rd, 2014 Future revisions may include Stirred Fluid Loss Testing and Fluid Loss Screens. Rewrite of API RP 10B-3 Deepwater Cementing Re-Write of 10B-3 2 nd Edition, document complete, resolving API edits with Pre-ballot to be distributed March 2014.

11 Subcommittee on Oil Well Cements (SC-10) Rewrite of API RP 10B-4 Recommended Practice on Preparation and Testing of Foamed Cement Slurries at Atmospheric Pressure, 1st Edition. The WG will develop new test methods to serve as a basis for a 2 nd Edition of API RP-10B-4. Final preballot comments to be resolved Jan Rewrite of API RP 10F Performance Testing of Cementing Float Equipment Under the direction Glen Benge, the TG will publish API Specification 10F, 1st Edition which will replace and make obsolete API RP 10F, 4th Edition. This document will include required specifications and the associated performance testing protocols for the manufacturing of Cement Float Equipment.

12 Subcommittee on Oil Well Cements (SC-10) WG on Static Gel Strength Testing Formed in January 2013 under the direction on Ramy Eid. Early testing complete, with 2 nd set of samples distributed Initial report expected in Chicago. Work may lead to the re-write of RP 10B-6, Recommended Practice on Determining the Static Gel Strength of Cement Formulations, 1 st Edition

13 Subcommittee on Oil Well Cements (SC-10) API Spec 10A Cements and Materials for Well Cements is up for reaffirmation in December Issues and auditor findings are being logged with the process well underway. API Spec 10D Bow Spring Casing Centralizers was up for reaffirmation in August Process started allowing for two additional years API RP 10F Performance Testing of Cementing Float Equipment was up for Re-Affirmation in August Process started allowing for two additional years.

14 Subcommittee on Oil Well Cements (SC-10) Wording of the detailed specification for mineral oil to be deleted from API Spec 10A and RP 10B2. New wording: A heat transfer fluid that meets the performance characteristics and safety requirements of the testing performed shall be used.
