3 Work Packages (WPs) WP WP1 - Management and coordination WP2 - Analysis of animal health and food security WP3 - Animal Health Science (Epidemiology) WP4 - Animal Health Science (Laboratories) WP5 - Supporting policy dialogue WP6 - Platform development WP7 - Exchanges and capacity building WP8 - Dissemination and sustainability Activities Set up the basis for the project (e.g. gender strategy, advisory board, consortium agreement, etc) and ensure over the project lifetime the smooth day-to-day coordination of activities and cooperation among partners; Lay the technical foundations of the project by identifying the research areas where joint actions are needed and where the future activities of the project should focus. WP3 and WP4 will build on its conclusions; Focus on veterinary epidemiology, exchanging knowledge and fostering cooperation in priority areas/diseases; Similar to WP3, WP4 will focus on diagnostic technologies for early and rapid detection of animal pathogens; Provide the framework (which will be fed by evidence from other WPs, especially WP3 and WP4) and support international policy dialogue; Provide all relevant information about the project, EU-China cooperation and ongoing, past and future activities, and will generate the online, community-building exchange of experiences; Facilitate short-term exchanges and training programmes between European and Chinese research organisations to raise the awareness of cooperation opportunities and ultimately enhance existing collaborations and encourage new partnerships; Runs in parallel with the other WPs over the project lifetime, and focuses on maximising the project s visibility. Dissemination (social media, website, dissemination events) Development of tools (to find funds and partners) What are the main objectives of your project? identify the priority areas for joint actions (WP2); link EU and Chinese animal health research, training programmes and innovation projects; ensure networking of scientific communities and stakeholders; provide a long-term vision and coordinate planning on future common research; contribute to international policies (WP5); support researchers through exchange programmes and training (WP7); share results and methodologies (WP8); build on the network by generating new opportunities / funded projects. 6 Project results What did your project deliver? 11 workshops organized (2 on policy, 1 for the industry, 4 on laboratry issues, 4 on epidemiology), plus 6 webinars Trainings delivered on epidemiogy (through C-FETPV), laboratory tools (bioo-informatics, geo-visualization, etc.); Successful twinning with other relevant projects (ASFORCE, RISKSUR, STAR-IDAZ, etc.); Joint labs - HRVI/SVA, and SHRVI/SVA (WP4); Platform successfully developed and used (WP6); 5 short-term (1 week approx.) academic visits organized (WP7); 2 dissemination meetings (3 to come), 4 newsletter, website and active social media (WP8).
