2 Required A minimum of 201 students attend the program for 30 days or more. It is required that all programs have an academic component each day. Program There were 227 students attending the program in the first 30 days. There is an minimum of 1 ½ hours dedicated to Homework/Academic activities each day.
3 Required Targeted academic support Program FIS students are placed with highly qualified teachers based on their content area need for the day. There is ongoing communication between 21stCCLC teachers and Daytime teachers. Parents have the option to have their child attend an extended homework program each day.
4 Required Targeted academic support The Program will develop an action plan that infuses STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activities. 7 FREEHOLD BOROUGH PUBLIC SCHOOLS 21 ST CCLC PROGRAM REPORT CARD GRADES: PERCENT A-B-C - 4 th QUARTER Grade Language Arts Literacy Mathematics % 95.4% % 91.4% % 90.4% % 88.9% % 77.8% Total 92.0% 90.6% The data in Table 1 above clearly demonstrate that students who participate in the 21 st Century program in grades 4-7 are strong academically in their regular school pursuits as evidenced by the high percentages (> 90% in language arts and > 88% in mathematics). The percentages, while still high, were slightly lower for grade 8. Overall, however, 92% and 91% respectively of students in grades 4-8 earned these grades.

Students in grades NG, 4, 5, and 7 have earned mean scaled scores in language arts > 190, while the eighth graders have already earned a mean score of Overall, in language arts, the mean scaled score was with nearly 41% earning the proficiency status. On the other hand, in mathematics, participating students achieved the proficiency status in grades NG, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and the students in grade 8 earned a mean score of Overall, in mathematics, the mean scaled score was 212 with nearly 62% earning the proficiency status.
