3 General notes 1 General notes 1.1 Validity These operating instructions apply to: Frequency inverter from the series:zetadyn 3-HY from software version Structure of the operating instructions This operating instruction is a brief instruction with additional informations. It is valid only in connection with the following operating instructions: R-TBA05_08 (ZETADYN 3BF) R-TBA08_03 (ZETADYN 3C) Please notice and follow the below described informations: Safety instructions Product overview mechanische Installation electrical installation Service & maintenance Transport Storage duration: Disposal & recycling Before installation and start-up, read this manual carefully to ensure correct use! 1.3 Exclusion of liability Concurrence between the contents of these operating instructions and the described hardware and software in the device has been examined. Ziehl-Abegg is not liable for damage due to misuse, incorrect use, improper use or as a consequence of unauthorized repairs or modifications. 2 Safety instructions The Safety informations, described in chapter 2 of the operating instructions R-TBA05_08 or R- TBA08_03 has to be followed! 3 General description 3.1 Application The ZETADYN 3-HY is a field-orientated Frequency inverter for speed control of three-phase asynchronous motors in hydraulic lift systems. The inverter is equipped with a microprocessor control. The use of IGBT modules and the pulse width modulation with variable switching frequency enables low-noise operation of the motor. The user interface, interfaces and software adapted specially to lift technology enable easy installation and start-up of the machine. 8 Start-up 5.4 Connection Impulse encoder (X-ENC9) The inkremental encoder has to be connected to X-ENC9. Encoder cables of different lengths are available for connecting the impulse encoder. Typ Article-Number Lenght GL03-ZA-ASM-BU m GL06-ZA-ASM-BU m GL10-ZA-ASM-BU m CAUTION! Caution! The pin assignment of the SUB-D socket X-ENC9 is not standardized. When using other encoder cables, make sure that these have the same specification (pin assignment X-ENC9 see R-TBA05_08 or R-TBA08_03). 5.5 Connection Analog input (X-CAN/X-AN) The connection of the analogue signal for nominal value presetting of the motor speed is made at X- CAN/X-AN. The nominal value presetting is made by 0-10 V signal. Information The maximum line length is 30 m. With a cable length of >30 m compliance with DIN EN (electromagnetic compatibility interference emission and DIN EN (electromagnetic compatibility interference immunity) can no longer be guaranteed. 5.6 Terminal assignment X-IN Implement configuration of the digital inputs in the Control system\config menu. Information This commissioning assumes the factory settings for the digital inputs and outputs, encoder inputs and monitoring contacts have not been modified! 8/19
9 Start-up Requirements for error-free commissioning: Mains line is connected Motor is connected Brake chopper or Brake resistor are connected Controller and monitoring inputs are connected Encoder is connected 6.2 Switching on the frequency inverter When the mains voltage is applied, the frequency inverter switches on after a self test. The display shows thefoll owing: Ziehl-Abegg AG ZETADYN 3BF SN: /123 Phone Enter motor data The specifications for the motor must be entered one time before the first travel in the "Motor name plate" menu. The motor data are configured according to the information on the motor rating plate. Information In asynchronous motors, you must enter the nominal speed at the nominal load (e.g rpm)! When entering the synchronous speed (e.g rpm with a 4-pole motor), apply a travel command will result in an error message. Information When a Ziehl-Abegg motor is purchased in connection with a frequency inverter, the motor specifications are already pre-programmed. Always review the specifications before the first travel. 10 Start-up Information If the changing of an parameter has effect to the values of the Motor-Modell, after the confirmation of the input the No-load current(i0), Rotor time constant (Tr) and the Stator resistor wil be displayed The Indication must be confirmed again with the button. I0 Tr Rs 3.7A 177ms 0.90 [OK] 6.4 Choose hydraulic aggregate Information The frequency inverters ZETADYN 3BF-HY and ZETADYN 3C-HY are applicable with the following hydraulic aggregates: Aggregate Saturn ALPHA Company BUCHER HYDRAULICS Aggregate Orion ALPHA Company BUCHER HYDRAULICS The used unit is selected in the Controlmenu. Control system -" CONFIG 28:BU_SATU -" 28:BU_SATU Configuration Aggregate Saturn ALPHA Control System: Parameter CONFIG=28:BU_SATU Control system -" CONFIG 29:BU_ORIO -" 29:BU_ORIO Configuration Aggregate Saturn ORION Control System: Parameter CONFIG=29:BU_ORIO 6.5 Choose encoder Information The parameters of the frequency inverters of the ZETADYN 3BF-HY and ZETADYN 3C-HY types are already set to the impulse encoder used by BUCHER HYDRAULICS. The entered data should be checked again during start-up. The technical specifications are input/checked in the Encoder & BCmenu. Encoder & BC -" ENC_TYP TTL-Imp. -" TTL-Imp. Encoder & BC -" ENC_INC 512 INC -" 512 Encoder resolution Menu Encoder & BC: Parameter ENC_INC=512 INC 6.6 Troubleshooting Wrong travel direction The control of the drive directions must be changed if the directions UP and DOWN are switched during a run. To do this, switch the connections at inputs I_01 (HY_UP) and I_02 (HY_DOWN). Never change the MO_DR parameter in the Control menu! This change would be reset when the ZETADYN 3 is switched back on! 10/19
