The online store opened on March 15, 2004 with the idea of offering my unique selection of supplies to my students. The word has spread... now there are over 4400 customers! 3 Page 3 Little Bunny: This little 3-D guy is just waiting for Easter as he munches on his carrot. Easter Basket: With Easter right around the corner, you will need a place to put all of the goodies. This little box is made from one 81/2 X11 sheet of paper. Embellished with die cuts and quilling, it s topped off with one of the little metal frames. 4 Page 4 con t from pg3 Happy Spring Egg: TOTALLY love to decorate eggs, real eggs, wooden eggs, plastic eggs. Styrofoam eggs, paper maché..any egg! Having an egg in this month s kit was eggciting LOL! What could represent spring more? Continuing with the spring theme, I chose spring flowers to decorate the egg that was painted with gold, then crackle medium, and finally with white. Next I added one of the cute little metal frames, and then the spring flowers. con t on pg 5

5 Page 5 con t from pg4 April Calendar Pages: Here is the April installment of the perpetual calendar set. I have been waiting to do the hydrangeas on a calendar page and when I saw the soft blue card stock, I knew this was the month. These are one of my very favorite flowers and I decided to use some of the many different blue varieties that hydrangeas come in. The individual blossoms are punched out and water colored with my shimmery paints. They are then shaped and put on a mounded base for dimension. Punched and shaped leaves and daisies with pearls are added to finish off the page. I can t wait to see them bloom in my garden! Flowery Purse Gift Bag: So many pretty strips to play with, so I die cut the purse gift bag from the pink card stock for the base and the pink mottled card stock for the flap to quill on. Then I faux stitched it with a gold gel pen. Eccentric flowers with button centers were used to decorate the front flap. Quilled leaves and glitter dots were then added. The corners of the flap were punched to give it a fancy touch, along with the little tassel. The handle is gold wire with clear round beads threaded onto it. 6 Page 6 con t from pg5 Framed Spring Verse: Oh the soft pretty springy colors in this month s kit! Just perfect for a garden of quilled flowers. I printed out and matted the 1 Chronicles 16:23-33 passage and decided to quill a swag of flowers around it. I started with the eccentric 6 petal flowers with contrasting color layers for interest. For the first time I tried the open loop, tight coil 5 petal blue flowers. They were quilled with the end of a large round paintbrush then pinched on each end and accented with an orange crystal. The little white tight coil flowers have a sparkly glitter added and are really eye-catching in person. Next, I added quilled tulips and leaves using the lightest yellow quilling strips to my garden swag. The yellow pearlescent and green-gold vellum greenery were added to finish off this piece that will be framed.

7 Page 7 Sue Reviews With all of the snow falling in the U.S. now, I am sure most everyone is longing for spring! This month s kit is full of springy colors to cheer up even those with the most severe cases of cabin fever. Pastel cardstock and assorted pastel quilling strips, little metal frame stickers, cards, and even an egg! All of these supplies will surely have you thinking spring. Sonya With the soft colors of matching card stock and quilling strips that come in this month s kit you will be able to make your own garden full of quilled flowers or embellishments. As always, I have to decide what supplies to use and spotlight in my three projects while there are many more to show! Not used yet, but in the kit are a paper maché egg perfect for quilling and three frame style embellishments that have a big enough space to quill a flower in and would make a beautiful lapel pin.
