3 Page 3 Acorn Take Out Box : This little box was cute even without decorations! I used the printed fall scrapbook papers to cover the bottom of the box. Next I added a tag to the front that is embellished with one of the fall stickers and a die cut leaf that has already fallen and lodged itself behind. On top of the box I glued small punched leaves to cover, and then punched holes to add a ribbon pull. Using the quilling strips I made little 3-D acorns for whimsy. Just add a treat inside and it will be finished. Full Moon Card : OK, first to give credit where credit is due. The idea for this card came from an I received just before Halloween last year. Not sure who originated it, so unfortunately I cannot give full credit for the original. This is my rendition, hope you like it! con t on pg 4

4 Page 4 Fall Paper Bag Album: With all of the wonderful papers in this months kit I was inspired to make a little paper bag scrapbook. So many papers, so little time! These little albums are great fun to make using what ever you have and a very good way to use up scraps. The paper bags are really cheap but look so exquisite when you are all finished embellishing them. For this album I used all of the great papers, ribbon, beads, stickers and quilling strips from the kit. Adding some fall die cuts and punched leaves from the papers in the kit, a bit of extra ribbon and some stamping viola a scrapbook!

5 Page 5 con t from pg3 Fall Leaves and Acorn Wreath: I knew when I saw the fall themed card stock in the kit that I would be making leaves out of them! The base is paper twist which I braided and wrapped into a 8 wreath. Next I die cut the leaves out of four of the vibrant fall colored card stock, embossing veins into each. Then I chalked some contrasting colors and added gold to the edges for sparkle. These were glued to the base and a tan twirled tendril vine wound around them. The designer paper in the kit had acorn as it s focus and again the strips were perfect for them. The tops of the acorns were made from strips passed through the crimper. The rust organza ribbon with an acorn accent finished off the wreath. Cornucopia Treat Basket: While the brown paper in the kit was used for the leaves in the wreath I also saw it as a cornucopia. I die cut two paisleys for the sides, cut two half circles out of the fall leaves and acorn designer paper and glued them together so you could see the paper inside and out. The half circles were rolled into cones and the paisley s were glued to both sides making the cornucopia shape. I added the gorgeous gold braid to the cone s edge and a paper twist handle to the top. The quilled embellishment was made to go on the side. It consists of quilled wheat stalks, apple, three acorns and a die cut leaf tied up in more of the rust organza ribbon. The cornucopia is large enough to fit many treats and you could put them in a cellophane bag for even more interest. con t on pg 6

6 Page 6 con t from pg3 October and November Calendar Pages: Continuing the quilled and floral punch calendar pages I used the beautiful fall colors that were perfect for October and November. The October page s burnt orange background is from the kit and matched the array of fall shades of quilling strips. I knew I wanted to use pumpkins so three different shapes and sizes with tendrils were to be the anchor of the design. Next I quilled, with tight rolls, the maize corn with it s colorful kernels, the husks were strips put through the crimper. Next, cattails made from Floral Soft, punched oak leaves and gold accent flowers with the gold beads from the kit were added. I finished the design using some of my brown buttons from the August kit! The November page s green background is also from the kit and the rich wine strips begged to become grapes. The brown strips were twirled into long branches and the grapes were layered over the punched grape leaves made out of green gold iridescent card stock. The Give Thanks sentiment was stamped and rolled a bit so it would pop up. The ends were embellished with more grapes and leaves. To finish up grape vine tendrils were added. Again these calendar pages are perpetual and the calendar part can be replaced with the current year.

7 Page 7 Sue Albert Camus said Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. With the October kit you can make fall flowers to your hearts content. This month the kit contains such a wonderful variety of autumn scrapbook papers. There are so many included that it would take up the whole newsletter to describe them all. Not to mention all of the coordinating trim, ribbon, stickers, quilling strips and even some gold beads that are included. You WILL enjoy crafting with this kit! Sonya I know I say this about each kit, but it is true, each has a stunning collection of coordinating quilling strips, designer paper and card stock, plus embellishments, and this month s kit is no exception. The brown textured paper was perfect for fall leaves and even has a matching embossed piece! Plus there were many other radiant fall colors of paper and card stock. The quilling strips in the kit this month are rich jewel tone fall assortment and can be used to create cards and decorations for the holiday season!
