The materials to be refinished must be solid brass. We cannot fulfill requests for materials other than solid brass. 2. You must disassemble all components and subcomponents before shipping them to us. We are skilled refinishers, but do not necessarily know how to disassemble mechanical items. 3. We prefer that the item to be replated be polished brass with no lacquer (US3A). Additional charges may apply for refinishing items in finishes other than US3A. In some instances, we may not able to remove existing finishes other than US3 (polished brass) and US3A that have been applied to brass. 4. We cannot refinish items that have a PVD (physical vapor deposition) or other lifetime coating. 5. Please list and quantify the parts you need refinished. Remember to count any fasteners you need replated. 6. Carefully pack the parts you send to us because we may return them to you in the original packaging. We cannot assume responsibility for damage caused by inadequate packaging. 7. You are responsible for freight to and from the factory, whether we can accommodate your request or not. 8. We will use our best efforts to prevent the loss of any parts or damage to your replating job. However, given the nature of the extremely hazardous chemistry involved in plating, we cannot guarantee that neither event will occur. As such, we are unable to assume any risk of loss occasioned by the refinishing process, except for loss caused by our negligence or failure to exercise ordinary care in handling your items. We will review your request and notify you as to its feasibility, and the cost of the refinishing you requested.
