The extension to the proven conventional W11 machine is the W11CNC. On the basis of the W11 machine we extended the machine with the same technical features by a small CNC control. Why using a W11CNC machine? The following processes are more time-consuming when using a conventional machine: W11CNC Retracting from the workpiece Approaching the diamond and infeeding Setting the truing amount and the speed Returning to the workpiece Setting once again and compensation of the dressing value On the W11CNC machine such work processes are performed automatically. If the diamond and the workpiece are set, you can fully automatically dress, i.e. radii, chamfers, cones and many more. The truing amount will be compensated fully automatically. KARSTENS has produced more than K11 machines and to this date about 1,000 machines are used worldwide. In 1994, we have started the overhaul or with services of KARSTENS K11 machines. Shortly thereafter, the complete new construction of this machine took place as a so-called classical retrofit. Since 2010, we offer our customers the W11 cylindrical grinding machines alternatively as a new machine or as a retrofit. The complete technique has been further developed and optimised for years, all components comply with most recent machine directives.
