In addition to the tests at the right, we have also tested Vantage Chair arms internally to the ANSI/BIF- MA applicable standards. (ANSI/DIFMA X , Test 13, Arm Strength Vertical, and Test 14, Arm Strength Horizontal.) They have all passed. Seating Impact Test 125 lbs. dropped from 2 on a chair 20 per minute 100,000 times. Stability Test 35 lbs. of rearward force with 173 lbs. on the seat, the chair cannot tip backward. 40% of chair weight at 45 degree angle the chair cannot tip forward. Back Durability 75 lb. force is directed against the chair back 20 times per minute, 120,000 times. Front and Side Leg Strength A chair cannot break in any way when a 75 lb. force is directed downward on the bottom of the leg of a chair laying on it s back. When 125 lbs. is applied, it cannot cause injury to occupant Vertical Back Strength Chair must withstand a top load of 200 lbs. without damage and 300 lbs without fail and harm to a person. Back Durability - Vertical 200 lb. force is repeatedly directed downward on the top of a chair back 20 times per minute, 10,000 times Structural Durability - Vertical With 225 lbs. of weight in the middle of the chair, 100 lbs. of side force is applied 20 times per minute, 100,000 times.
