2 About Sven Christiansen Sven Christiansen is a privately owned British furniture manufacturing company, established in Our factory is in Kingswinford, West Midlands and we have showrooms there, in Great Portland Street, London, and in Guildford. In addition, our furniture is displayed in the showrooms of our distributors throughout the UK. We also employ highly skilled craftsmen to carry out the operations that are beyond the abilities of even the best machines. This enables us to offer a comprehensive range of solutions to suit all applications and environments. VALUE SERVICE INTEGRITY ISO 9001 FM We operate an Environmental Management System that meets the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001, certificated by BSI. We hold FSC Chain of Custody for an ever-increasing proportion of our timber raw materials (please contact us for full details of the products and materials that are covered under our FSC certification). We undertake ongoing review of our products, raw materials and processes with the objective of continual improvement in our environmental performance. To minimise our waste to landfill we have invested in a wood burning furnace with clean air afterburners, which disposes of much of our waste timber and extracted dust. The furnace reduces the amount of waste timber going to landfill and also provides heating for our factory. We are fully committed to eliminating or reducing the environmental impact of our operations wherever possible. 3 Important notes about veneers and hardwood timbers We use solid hardwoods and wood veneers whose varying grain and figure emphasise the natural beauty and individuality of the wood. No two pieces of timber are identical, and there will be natural variations in hue, grain and figure, and both knots and colouring arising from natural minerals in the wood. Bamboo also exhibits variations in colour and pattern. None of these variations or features are faults: they are simply proof of the natural origin of the product. Please note that most timbers and veneers either lighten or darken on exposure to light. Should you add additional items at a later date, there may be an initial colour mismatch that should even out over a period of time. Colour accuracy Due to variations in lighting and the limitations of the printing process, variations in colour may occur between the illustrations in this brochure and manufactured items. Samples of all our finishes are available on request from our Customer Service Department. The desking components, on Y-frames or C-frames, have a visual lightness which is complemented by the simplicity of the square-edged tops. 6 Brevis Brevis desks are offered on C-frames with integral vertical cable risers, and Y-frames with optional height adjustment. Y-frames may additionally be specified with castors to the rear, making desks fully mobile and very easy to rearrange. Brevis is complemented by two aluminium-framed screen ranges. SPA screens feature an elegant, slim profile. ALU screens are more substantial, enabling them to house optional cable management easily accessible from both sides via hinged flaps. 20 Office Screens We offer three screen systems, all available in sizes compatible with all our furniture ranges. All three systems feature variations of our unique multi-way linking system. ALU screens: substantial, aluminium framed, with the option of high capacity cable management. SPA screens: aluminium framed, with a slim, visually light profile. SLS screens: robust, extruded thermoplastic frames. ALU screens offer optional high capacity trunking for cables and sockets, at floor or desk height, accessed via hinged flaps on both sides (see main image). 30 HiStore Wall Storage HiStore is a floor-to-ceiling cupboard storage system, based around a range of standard components but customised to fit exactly into whatever space you have available. It enables you to fully utilise the entire height of your office for storage. Install against an existing wall, specify with a finished back to create a wall, or back-to-back to provide storage on two sides. 32 Modular Tables: Fliptop Tables Range of tables with a Flip Top that may be easily released with a single spring catch and pivoted through 90 from horizontal to vertical. Tables may then be nested together, reducing the space needed for storage. Moving tables through doorways from room to room with flipped tops is simple and convenient, minimising the risk of knocks and damage to both tables and doorways. T-frame and Y-frame options in zinc, slate or chrome. T-frames on glides or wheel-brake castors: Y frames on total-lock castors. 34 Sectional and Folding Tables Sectional tables in a variety of shapes and sizes, on removable legs, fixed or mobile frames, which may be used individually or linked together to form larger configurations. Versions with removable legs may be stored and moved on a mobile trolley. Quick-fit (removable) round legs, or Bow legs; finished in zinc, slate or chrome. 36 G-Series G-Series comprises four working chairs with accompanying visitors/meeting chairs. All models have been carefully designed to combine comfort and style with exceptional durability. There is a wide choice of mechanisms, arm and base options to enable you to tailor each chair to your particular needs and preferences.
