After many years of careful planning, the operation moved to a new state-of-the-art production facility in Richmond, BC. As demand increased beyond our local market, Nickels responded by transitioning into wholesale distributorship. Today we are proud to serve an expanding customer base through our exclusive network of authorized design professionals across western Canada and the United States. The Nickel family still own and operate this lean manufacturing operation where the most valuable asset is the skilled and experienced team of long-serving employees. 6 materials cherry fine textured hardwood has a prominent figure and beautiful, warm pinkish hue.cherry will darken as it is exposed to light and will take on a rich patina that enhances the beauty of this wood species. plainsawn white oak straight grained hardwood, freaturing an open grain pattern with variations in color and texture. Generally this wood has large flitch patterns and a highly visible cathedral grain look. alder smooth, straight-grained, medium hardwood that ranges in color pale pinkish-brown to light tan. fir straight to slightly wavy or spiral grained softwood with a light reddish-brown color. This wood species is native to the Pacific Northwest region. quartersawn white oak straight grained hardwood, characterized by its tiger ray flake pattern and silver grain. Color ranges from pale yellowbrown to biscuit with a pinkish tint. black walnut medium density, mostly straight grained, but occasionally with wavy or curly grain. Color is a rich dark brown to purplishblack which develops a lustrous patina with age. maple strong, fine textured hardwood with a uniform grain and very subtle figure. Color is creamy white with a slight reddish brown tinge. painted a mix of wood and/or MDF that provides a smooth and consistent finished surface.
